Muslim Brotherhood activity is growing in America

Apathy about Islamic activities in the United States continues, but the time has come to realize what is happening before it is too late. Photo: The Muslim Brotherhood is growing in America (

CHARLOTTEOctober 20, 2013  In an interview with Ryan Mauro of The Clarion Project, former FBI agent and author of the new book Raising a Jihadi Generation: Understanding the Muslim Brotherhood Movement in America, John Guandolo had some revealing information about Islamic radicalism.

Some of Guandolo’s answers were clarifying. Others were packed with information. Still others broke down myths about Islamic goals that have been perpetuated by a misinformed liberal media and a complicit White House philosophy.

All of them are dire.

Beginning at the end of his comments and working forward, Guandolo simplifies his warning with a sports metaphor, “As I see it, we’re five minutes into the first quarter of the football game. The MB is out on the field and they are winning 72-0. We are on the sidelines in baseball outfits wondering what inning it is.”

It’s a simple image with a powerful message. Far too often the United States is reactive rather than proactive in matters of national security. Much of that comes from the Obama administration with its efforts to disguise terrorism as “workplace violence” or refusing to use words such as “jihadi” or “extremist” which are both accurate and appropriate descriptions.

Guandolo pulls no punches with a clear warning about the diversionary tactics employed by the Brotherhood to always keep us looking in the wrong direction. “Part of the problem in getting Americans to see the imminent threat,” he says, “is that they, like the U.S. security services, are completely focused on the kinetic stuff – bombings, shootings, etc. We need to worry about these, but it isn’t how they intend to defeat us

“The MB strategic plan says they are waging “Civilization Jihad” to destroy our civilization and that they will use our leaders to do their work for them.”

Considering the techniques the president has employed in handling a host of scandals, including Benghazi, the government shutdown, the Affordable Care Act and the events in Syria and Egypt, serious and honest observers have to be aware that Guandolo’s comments run dangerously parallel to the Mr. Obama’s methods of governing.

Since his first inauguration there has been a shadow of doubt about Barack Obama’s allegiances to Islam. The debate about the president’s Islamic ties continues today, but regardless of whether Mr. Obama is a Muslim or not does not alter the fact that he stretches the credulity of his leanings to the limit and never renounces them. In that sense, and in many of his other personal characteristics, Barack Obama is the ultimate divider while insisting his goals are to unify the country. That is a basic Islamic strategy.

Referring to documents captured by the FBI in 2001, Guandolo explains in detail how the Muslim Brotherhood infiltrated the United States and originally settled in Indiana, Michigan and Illinois. Today Dearborn, Michigan is a focal point of jihadist activity while Chicago is the American hub for Hamas. And where did Barack Obama become indoctrinated in the methods of being a community organizer? (A term which is code for “outside agitator.”) In Chicago, where politics and corruption are indistinguishable.

Accept it or not, the Islamist factions in our country are becoming increasingly bolder thanks to the lack of awareness and apathy of the American people and its leaders. As Obama was doing his traditional victory lap following the ousting of Hosni Mubarak in Egypt, the media followed up by praising the victory and proclaiming a new world order because the Muslim Brotherhood had moderated its ideologies.

Such statements sound eerily similar to those of American Muslims who say they have “moderated” their thinking.. Not so says Guandolo who vehemently replies, “This is utter rubbish. There is not one shred of evidence that they have slowed down their movement at all. All of the evidence points to a rapid acceleration of their plans.”

Guandolo then reveals a frightening eye-opening example that is most likely unknown to the majority of Americans. “The State Department has a program where they pay for imams to fly from overseas to the U.S. to meet with “Islamic leaders” here—almost all of whom are MB. One imam from Indonesia who is not supportive of the MB movement reported back to the U.S. Ambassador that in this imam’s opinion, was paying for jihadis overseas to meet with jihadis here in America that have “control” over the Islamic community.”

Time was when every American would have found such a concept outlandish. Not in the America we live in today.

We are being bombarded by warnings on a daily basis. The time has come to begin paying attention rather than making excuses for what is happening right in front of our eyes.
