Bin Laden and Saddam are still dead; The Neocons are still right

LOS ANGELES, May 1, 2013 — On May 1, 2011, the leader of a violent movement was obliterated, dealing a blow to a movement steeped in lunacy and rage.

No, not Occupy Wall Street. The other raging lunatics. Al-Qaeda saw the snake’s head cut off when Osama bin Laden was sent to eternal damnation.

After the Boston Marathon bombings, people who fell asleep after 9/11 have opened their eyes to the position of late 2001.

On this anniversary, some will wax poetic, lamenting the fallen. Others will babble about diversity, multi-culturalism and tolerance, as if America is the problem. Others will praise those undeserving of it and deny credit to those worthy of it. So on this anniversary, let us tell the complete truth.

Bin Laden deserved what he got. A bullet between the eyes by an American was perfect justice. Bin Laden was motivated by radical Islam, not workplace violence. Poverty does not cause radical Islam, as Bin Laden was worth about $300 million.

Israel had nothing to do with motivating Islamists on 9/11. Islamists do not hate America for supporting Israel. They hate Little Satan Israel because it reminds them of Great Satan America. Palestinians celebrated 9/11. Yassir Arafat passed out candy to children.

Leftists who hate conservative Republicans more than Islamists need cranial-glutial extraction surgery. Islamists’ positions on abortion, gay rights and global warming are incompatible with leftism. Leftist willful blindness to radical Islam is intellectual dishonesty. Christopher Hitchens died an honest, consistent man. Every leftist should learn from him.

Radical Islam has existed since the 1970s. The 1972 Olympic bombings in Munich, Leon Klinghoffer and Daniel Pearl murders, U.S.S Cole bombing, and U.S. embassy bombings in Tanzania and Kenya were all radical Islam.

Bali, Mumbai, 7/7 London and the 3/11 Madrid bombings were all radical Islam. Fort Hood and Benghazi were radical Islam. So was Boston on April 15, 2013. So were the failed attempts by the Shoe Bomber and Christmas Day Underwear Bomber.

For four decades, nobody responded and then came President George W. Bush. He declared that anybody who harbored, funded, or aided terrorists were as culpable as the terrorists themselves.

America waged war and routed the Taliban in Afghanistan. America waged another war and removed Saddam Hussein from Iraq.

Saddam was not directly involved in 9/11, but he was a sponsor of worldwide terrorism. The Bush Doctrine dictated his removal. Both the Afghanistan and Iraq wars were legal, moral and successful.

President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney instituted coercive interrogation techniques ranging from waterboarding to sleep deprivation to uncomfortable stress positions. Liberals claiming torture were, naturally, wrong.

Then President Obama took office and he publicly condemned the Bush-Cheney interrogation methods while privately employing them. Obama also aggressively (and rightfully) employed predator drones against al-Qaeda targets in ways Bush and Cheney could have only dreamt of being allowed to do.

Three times Obama had bin Laden in his sights, and was urged to kill him. Three times Valerie Jarrett told him not to do it. Three times Obama allowed Jarrett to dictate foreign policy.

The fourth chance saw the potential repeat of the cycle of pusillanimousness. This time Secretary of State Hillary Clinton explained to her former rival and current boss that killing bin Laden would be good for a guy trying to get reelected. Letting him go would result in bad polling. Obama got the message and finally overruled Jarrett.

Navy SEAL Team Six members got the job done brilliantly, taking out bin Laden in a fierce firefight at his Pakistani compound. Obama took endless victory laps while denying his utilizing the Bush-Cheney tactics effectively.

Bush and Cheney allowed the waterboarding of 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheik Mohammed. KSM gave up truthful valuable information including the identity of bin Laden’s only trusted courier.

Liberals will complain about “politicizing” a day that should belong to all Americans. What they really mean is the Neocons were right and the left was wrong.

Liberals spend their entire foreign policy lives living inconsistently. They express elation that Saddam is dead, without praising “The Decider” who forcibly removed him.

They praise the liberal leader who killed bin Laden while denying that the entire apparatus to do so was set up by a conservative predecessor. They praise that same liberal while condemning the tactics he employed, lest he not be confused with a barbaric conservative.

Liberals deserve zero praise on this day because they learned nothing. Radical Islamists in Iran are building a nuclear bomb. The radical Islamist leader of Syria is a genocidal lunatic murdering his own people and using chemical weapons.

Radical Islamist movements, Hamas and Hezbollah, continue to try and destroy all of Israel in the name of Allah. Liberals have no answers. Palestinians launch rockets and leftist university professors demand Jews dialogue.

On this anniversary of bin Laden’s killing, let us finally learn the right lessons. Radical Islam is a cancer. Its adherents cannot be reasoned with.

There is no “root cause.” Murder and destruction are not means to an end. Jihad is a celebration of violence. Violence is the end itself. Islamists want nothing in terms of demands, rendering diplomacy and dialogue useless.

Islamists are bullies. The only thing bullies understand is force. Force works, has always worked and remains the only solution that has ever worked with these miscreants.

Americans and the West are the good guys. Islamists are the bad guys. There is no gray. They are evil and must be destroyed. “Nuance” is code for moral equivalence, appeasement and apologist behavior. Nuance is unjustified for nuance when confronting radical Islam.

Neocons understand this. Vindication came because they were right and their critics were wrong. So if everybody out there truly wants to honor and celebrate the justified killing of Islamists, they should start by praising the only people to recognize the threat from the beginning. They should demand that something be done and make sure the structure to get results is implemented.

Anybody glad bin Laden is burning underground with 72 Helen Thomases should thank the Neocons. Then demand that the entire Bush Doctrine be implemented until radical Islam is vanquished forever from this planet.
