LOS ANGELES, September 24, 2011—On the eleventh anniversary of the September 11th attacks, Islamists launched coordinated protests against American and other Western targets. An American diplomat was one of several individuals murdered. Yet the tragedy has been compounded due to an American media that seems to be shrouding the truth of what transpired at all costs.
First Obama administration officials claimed that the protests were “spontaneous.” Given the date of the attacks, that claim was laughable. They say an anti-Muslim movie is responsible for inciting the violence.
The movie angle began falling apart because it was not true. Most people had not seen the movie. The movie had already been out for several months. Yet the administration doubled down as their storty unraveled.
Ambassador Susan Rice insisted that the movie was to blame, and that the attacks were not coordinated.
The administration then attempted to have the film-maker arrested while attempting to have You-Tube remove the video.
Even liberals should be chilled at these attacks on the First Amendment. The American Civil Liberties Union would usually be on the front lines defending the film-maker. If George W. Bush were still in charge, there would be demands for an investigation. Yet protecting Barack Obama at all costs has caused normally noble groups and individuals to sacrifice every ounce of remaining principles they have left.
After days of denying the obvious, Press Secretary Jay Carney finally relented and conceded that it was “self-evident” to everybody that the attacks on September 11th of 2012 were acts of terrorism.
Self-evident? The administration was in denial for over a week. They do not get to use the words self-evident.
As for the media, they should be trying to get to the truth. Instead they have been shrouding it. Questions that would normally be asked are deliberately being avoided.
If the act was a terrorist attack, what was the motivation behind the terrorism? Who are the terrorists? Are they motivated by any particular ideology?
The self-evident answer is Radical Islam, but the Obama administration will not utter those words.
Why was this an act of terrorism but Fort Hood was “workplace violence?” Was there any link between the two acts?
Yes. It is called Radical Islam.
The Obama administration said that they had no intelligence information that anything was being plotted. The Libyan government hsa said that there were warnings issued three days in advance, and that those warnings were ignored.
Who is telling the truth? Don’t we deserve to know?
Ambassador Stevens left behind a diary. CNN was criticized for releasing the diary. His diary revealed that he did express security concerns.
Why is a news organization being attacked for releasing real important news? Doesn’t the public have the right to know the truth? Did the government pressure CNN to suppress evidence?
If the administration truly did know what was happening, why were they unprepared? Doesn’t this appear to be ideological blindness? If questions of being ill-prepared can be asked of Republican presidents after natural disasters, then surely preventable acts of terrorism while a Democrat is in charge should be looked at.
If the administration did not know, isn’t it fair to say they should have known? To not be prepared on the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks eleven years later reeks of incompetence.
This matters because with a miserable economy, the Obama administration is making their reelection case on foreign policy expertise. Their entire strategy was to reach out to enemies and try and win them over with diplomacy. Now American flags are being burned around the globe. As Dr. Charles Krauthammer points out, the Obama foreign policy approach is collapsing.
Don’t the American people deserve answers on why American soldiers were without ammunition on 9/11 in a dangerous part of the world? Did the Democrats truly take the advice of Zell Miller and try to defend Americans with spitballs?”
At what point does the entire world become more important than the worship of one man? Is there any other explanation as to why questions that would normally be obvious are not dared asked? Is Barack Obama so indispensable that he deserves to go through life without having to be scrutinized?
Americans are being murdered while the American leader smiles, golfs, parties with celebrities, and refuses to take hard questions from reporters.
When President Obama released a new version of the American flag with the “O” symbol replacing the American stars, was that a relfection of today’s world? Is Barack Obama our leader, right or wrong?
Americans are dead. We all deserve to know why. From a defense standpoint, there were breakdowns. That is what is self-evident. These breakdowns happened on Mr. Obama’s watch. Shouldn’t he at least be asked about it? Shouldn’t his evasiveness result in further probing questions, rather than just accepted at face value?
No American is above the law. We do not have a king here. Nobody rules by divine right.
The media needs to stop letting liberal bias lead to selective outrage in reporting. This is one of the biggest scandals in American history.
Nobody died at Watergate.
This is the second scandal along with “Fast and Furious” where the Administration acted cavalierly with the blood of dead Americans on their hands. They get away with it because the media will not hold them accountable.
The liberal media needs to put aside their worship of Mr. Obama and do what they are paid to do.
Americans deserve answers. It is time to get to the truth.
