Rosh Hashanah Epilogue: Jews pray for peace while Islamists set the world on fire

While Jews were spending a couple of days on Rosh Hashanah praying for peace, Radical Islamists were busy setting the world on fire. Islamists are at war with us, and not interested in singing Kumbaya.

ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO, September 19, 2012 – While Jews spent a couple of days praying for peace, Radical Islamists continued waging global war.

Jews sacrificed this year for Gilad (Shalit) while Islamists waged Jihad.

Jews got on their knees and prepared for Yom Kippur, the day of atonement where they beg for forgiveness. Islamists forced innocent Americans on their knees, sodomized and murdered them.

Jews drank wine and grape juice and dipped apples and bread in honey as they prayed for a sweet new year. Radical Islamists refuse to drink wine but will spill blood every day of the year in celebration.

For 48 hours, Jews devoted themselves to helping heal the world even more than they usually do. Islamic fundamentalists helped further their cause of spreading a global conflagration as their youth laughed as the world burned.

Politically correct leftists will point out that most Muslims are not terrorists, as if that is good enough. Zero percent of Jews are. There are no Christian, Buddhist or Seikh homicide bombers. The world should not blame the entire religion of Islam for the cancer that is Islamic fundamentalism.

However, the world should not be so blind as to pretend that any other religion outside of Islam has this virulent strain that globally murders innocents.

The most recent act of third world Islamist barbarism came on September 11th of 2012. American embassies and consulates in Egypt and Libya were set ablaze. In Cairo, a career American diplomat who devoted his life to peace was butchered.

Leftists tried to blame the United States for the tragedy. They claimed that an American filmmaker put out a movie critical of Islam. That movie had been out for several weeks. The idea that the attacks were as coordinated as the original September 11th attacks in 2001 is lost on these ostriches.

First came 9/11.

Then 911 days later came the Madrid bombings. Several other terrorist attacks in Bali, London, and Fort Hood, Texas, took place.

Then eleven years to the day of the attacks on the Twin Towers in New York City, global attacks on Americans occurred. Only an ostrich could ignore this link.

Even if the leftists were right under the theory that a broken clock is accurate twice daily, this would be irrelevant. Movies and other forms of “art” critical of Jews and Christians have wide distribution. Christians and Jews do not respond by setting things (or people) on fire.

Even secularists and atheists (with the late Christopher Hitchens being a fantastic exception) who heap scorn on religions of all kinds give a free pass to Islamists. This is as intellectually inconsistent as it is destructive.

The left truly believes that an absence of war on any given day equals peace.

The right understands that peace can only happen when both sides in a conflict stop waging war. The Islamists have never stopped.

So despite praying to God for peace over two days, Jews had better understand that prayers alone won’t cut it. God helps those who help themselves.

Americans help ensure peace by making sure that the cost of war is so high that no enemy of America would ever want to wage war.

In more blunt terms, from the Greeks and Romans to the British Empire to modern America, one truism remains.

Force works.

More importantly, everything short of force when dealing with Islamists fails.

We tried the hard power of military might under George W. Bush. We routed the Taliban, sent al Qaeda underground, and took down Saddam Hussein. We liberated Iraq and Afghanistan and a pair of functioning secular democracies formed in the Arab world.

Then we tried the soft power of diplomacy under Barack Obama. The result was a dead American diplomat, and global Muslim uprisings against American embassies.

They keep waging war, and our current leaders and their supporters keep thinking that flowery words will end the conflict as quickly as drone attacks. The leftist media is more concerned with protecting their demigod president from criticism than in questioning why we were so ill-prepared for a war that we absolutely should have known was coming.

The time for talk is over. After two days of Jews praying for peace, all the Islamists did was spend more time waging war. Our American government has one obligation, and that is to keep us safe. They are failing at this task miserably.

Either we defend our values with all of our hard power might, or next year Jews and Christians may be praying to Mecca as part of the Caliphate.

There is no peace. The world is at war. The Islamists know this. It is about time leftist Americans do.
