CHARLOTTE, September 12, 2012 — Many people spent 9/11 mourning the loss of loved ones and expressing patriotic love of America.
Leftists and radical Islamists had other ideas.
In Egypt, radical Islamists stormed the American embassy, putting American lives at risk, and replaced the American flag with a symbol of al Qaeda.
In Chicago, leftist teachers stormed out of work, discovered their inner leftist Wisconsin, and tried to burn Rahm Emanuel in effigy and replace him with Che Guevara.
In Libya, radical Islamists stormed American headquarters and killed an American.
Forget that President Obama is nowhere to be found. His supporters insist he actually does things during the day, his critics disagree, and the election will settle that debate. A deeper question needs to be asked.
From lunatics in Egypt and Libya to crybaby Chicago teachers, can we get through just one day without leftists and radical Islamists complaining about something?
Their constant rage is foreign to Jewish Republicans like myself. We shut up and go to work. We don’t spend every waking moment protesting.
Why is it that the people who contribute the most to society do so quietly while the people who detract the most make sure everybody knows their utter uselessness?
Those Islamists in Cairo are chanting “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” while their own societies are mired in the same failed state they were 1,000 years ago. Does it take an entire century for a “civilization” to figure out that maybe the wounds are self-inflicted and not some Western plot? If one flips back to the year 1712, there was no modern state of Israel or concept of America. Yet the radical Muslims were bonkers back then as well.
Leftist schoolteachers are no better. Teachers are the only professionals who cannot be fired and are never judged on actual results. When everyone else is broke, they want raises without accountability.
Leftist schoolteachers and radicalized Islamists are the two groups of people that for some reason should be above criticism. Heaven forbid anybody ever point out the imperfections in intolerant ideologies from radical Islam to leftist public inner city education.
The only debate at this point is if children in Chicago have a better chance of success and staying alive if they were transferred out of the Chicago war zone to someplace safer like Egypt or Libya (American embassies exempted).
The solution is simple, but not one American politician today will utter the two words that have been made toxic.
It is time for regime change.
Return the chant “Death to radical Islam,” fire the teachers in Chicago, and be done with it.
Get rid of them all faster than Ronald Reagan got rid of the air traffic controllers. Of course the Berlin Wall was going to come down; any man who could handle leftist union bureaucrats could surely handle something less threatening, such as Communism.
Leftist schoolteachers and radical Islamists are a threat to American lives. The latter group at least has the decency to let their ideology murder Americans quickly. Educrats kill our children slowly. The kids start out going into a building where they can be shot to death at any moment. Assuming they survive the guns and drugs, they will be poisoned with an education so bad that they will have zero marketable skills upon graduation.
Both leftist schoolteachers and Islamists want to be rewarded for failure. If only we give the teachers more money for worse results, we might finally waste money and turn things around. If only we learned how to understand Islamofascist lunatics, there will be peace.
Republicans are not blameless. They talk tough but back down out of fear of being insensitive. Even the very best like Rudy Giuliani, who took down the Mafia and led the fight in the War on Terror, did not confront the teachers’ unions.
As for Democrats, their response is to coddle leftists and Islamists and then express surprise when the result is total destruction. This is how we get everything from Occupy Wall Street to the Fort Hood shooting.
The leftist schoolteachers and radical Islamists are just different types of bullies. The only thing bullies understand is force.
I dare to repeat, “Death to radicalized Islam” and install pro-Western puppet governments. Short of that, cut off all foreign aid. Fire all of the public schoolteachers who refuse to go to work and do their jobs (badly). Put children in charter schools or home school them.
Then cut off all funding and get the federal government out of the education business.
It is time for law, order, peace, and quiet.
The liberal solution is to let Americans from Chicago to Egypt to Libya die painful deaths.
No more can we, as Americans, allow the murder of Americans to continue.
Egypt, Chicago, and Libya need to shape up or be dealt with as severely as possible.
Then we can focus on even worse actors like Iran, Detroit, Syria, and Trenton.
