Wisconsin showdown: Conservatives must fight for Scott Walker and Rebecca Kleefisch

With 24 hours to go in the Wisconsin recall elections, conservatives must not get complacent. Scott Walker and Rebecca Kleefisch need all conservative hands on deck.

LOS ANGELES, June 4, 2012 — With 24 hours until the showdown in Wisconsin, there are only two things for conservatives all across America to do.

First, help Governor Scott Walker. That’s a must. The money has been sent in, and now it is time for the ground game. Polls have Governor Walker winning by about six points, not a comfortable margin.

Unions know how to mobilize.

Unions know how to lie, cheat and steal. That is what they do, and that is what the entire Wisconsin recall election is about. Governor Walker wants them to stop lying, cheating and stealing. The unions want to keep doing so.

This is not about “fairness.” Fairness would be unions contributing as everybody else in society has to do.

Public sector workers do not care about fairness. They care about getting their piece of the pie, even at the expense of everybody else. For those who want to see an endless supply of GSA conferences with taxpayer dollars, then let government workers run wild with zero restraints, checks or balances.

Governor Scott Walker is trying to restore sanity to a state corrupted by liberal financial lunacy. The left knows this is their final stand. They will fight to the death. Conservatives cannot get complacent.

Conservatives must have poll watchers at every precinct. If the New Black Panthers try to prevent conservatives from voting, arrests should be made. If union thugs show up with billy clubs, the thugs and their bosses must be pushed back.

The left are bullies, and they are going to try one last desperate round of bully punches. Conservatives should ride to the polls in groups in case the left decides to resort to violence.

Yet while defending Scott Walker is vital, there is a second thing conservatives must do: Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch must be defended as well.

They were elected together, but the recalls are two separate elections. If Governor Walker survives and Ms. Kleefisch goes down, the left will claim partial victory. This will then embolden the bullies. This cannot be allowed to happen.

Governor Walker and Lieutenant Governor Kleefisch were elected to do a job. The left launched a recall solely because they did not like the election results. That is what liberals do. When they lose elections they take steps to render elections meaningless.

This is the best chance in a generation for conservatives to finally crush the left. A significant victory by Walker and Kleefisch could encourage Republicans everywhere from New York to California to finally develope spines.

Winning elections is not enough. Governing as conservatives is a must. Walker and Kleefisch have done that.

Another loss for the left could be a back-breaker. People who spend their lives doing nothing but “community organizing” might finally be forced to get real jobs without tenure where pay is based on merit.

Elections have consequences. The consequences of this election will be severe.

Complacency must be guarded against. If the race is close, the left will hire every trial lawyer in the country with (maybe) the exception of John Edwards. After all, when they do not like elections, they just have them overturned.

The left cannot cheat if they get blown out of the water, so every conservative needs to make sure all hands are on deck. Help Scott Walker. Help Rebecca Kleefisch.

There will be time to breathe on Wednesday. Now is the time to fight like junkyard dogs. The left is an aging fighter that still packs a mean (far) left hook. They cannot and must not be given the chance.

It is time for conservatives to take these liberal abusers and send their destructive ideology down for the count permanently.
