WASHINGTON, June 16, 2013 – It has been far too long since Bill, Eric, Sookie, and Alcide have been our Sunday night companions. True Blood’s Season 6 premiere is tonight (8:45 p.m. Eastern) and humans have declared war on all things Vampire. And then there are the vampires warring on the other vampires.
But what do you need to know before tonight’s episode?
Tonight’s episode will be filled with nakedness, blood and vampires that are a little fed up, no pun intended, with humans and their fears.
One of the big questions to be answered this season is Warlow’s identity. We know he killed Jason and Sookie’s parents. And that he has appeared to Sookie. And that he is evil.
Warlow will play a big part of True Blood Season 6; however exactly who and what Warlow is remains a mystery.
Season 5 viewers may have picked up a few hints. He is supernatural, given his ability to shimmer in and out and that Sookie can see and hear him.
So maybe he is an evil (remember, murdered Sookie and Jason’s parents) fairy because where there is ultimate good, there is ultimate evil.
But we also know that he is a vampire. So the evil fairy/vamp combination makes Warlow some type of hyrbird bad guy come to roost.
Another big unanswered question: what is up with Bill, or Lillith? Does it mean now that Bill is Lillith, or Billith? Evil Vampire God or hero that will save the vampires, werewolves, fairies and other assorted supernaturals romping naked through the woods of Louisiana?
Again, the dichotomy of good and evil that wrestles with our souls, or something.
Where will Jason align? An anti-vampire crusader, he is at odds with both his sister, Sookie and ex, Jessica. A little ying/yang problem there as well.
Tara and Pam are becoming very close vampire friends and their combined power, and attitude, fueled by sexual anxiety, is likely to create some exciting, and conflicted, TV.
Alcide has given up his puppy leash to become packmaster, taking down JD and claiming the Shreveport werewolf pack for his own.
And vampire sustenance True Blood is in short demand following factory bombings, leaving Vampire with nothing but the source blood to eat.
And while we are waiting for tonight’s premierd and chat to start, enjoy this Season 5 Final Bonus Scene:
