SAN DIEGO, May 7, 2012 –  The six remaining competitors on “Dancing With The Stars”  will be seeing double in week 8 as the stakes get higher, with a double elimination looming on Tuesday.

In week 8, the couples will be performing two individual dance routines each. The first dance will be a ballroom dance.

Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower and William Levy and Cheryl Burke will do a foxtrot. Melissa Gilbert and Maks Chmerkovskiy and Maria Menounos and Derek Hough will perform a waltz. Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas will dance a Viennese waltz (and yes, there is a difference). Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd drew the traditional tango.

In a new twist for the show, the second routine will be a Latin dance with the stars dancing with a different professional partner, one who is not already competing on the show. It’s being called the “Latin Trio Challenge.”

The big news revealed by Levy is that his third partner will be male: Tony Dovoloni.  Levy is dancing last; DWTS producers know how to keep the audience in their seats.

Roshon Fegan and William Levy drew the paso doble. Melissa Gilbert and Maria Menounos will dance the samba. Donald Driver drew the jive, and Katherine Jenkins will dance the cha cha.

Whatever happens tonight, expect some high drama, great dancing, and our live chat at 8 p.m. Eastern Time here at Communities. This is one you won’t want to miss! Join Gayle Falkenthal, Jacquie Kubin, Jim Picht, Catherine Poe and the Communities Dance Crew for all the action.

“Dancing With the Stars” returns for week 8 of the competition on Monday night, May 7, 8 p.m. Eastern/Pacific Time, on the ABC Television Network.
