WASHINGTON, February 12, 2012 – The Walking Dead midseason Premiere begins tonight 9:00 pm EST and according to the Sheriff Rick Grime, “We all know this is not going to end well.”
The Walking Dead is based on the comic book series created by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard. The show has combined a mix of quality production with a vocal fan group that can be found online watching webisodes and mixing up the zombie lore on websites and in chat rooms taking full advantage of todays social media and online environment to create an entertainment juggernaut best not watched with pizza.
Season two ended, as though you need reminding, with the survivors gunning down the zombies that gentleman farmer and veterinarian Hershel Green (Scott Wilson) had hidden in his barn. Who can forget the horror of realizing that one of those zombies was the sweet Sophia (Madison Lintz) who was the subject of a large search. Or not feel the horror and despair as leader Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) puts the child out of her living dead misery.
Tonight opens with Sophia’s mom Carol (Melissa McBride) having just witnessed her daughter’s zombie death not holding things together well, while Greene runs off in guilt over harboring the zombies?
Or letting the survivors stay and eventually kill the zombies?
I am not sure which. And do you kill a zombie?
Join us tonight as we discuss the premier, the characters, and zombie killing methods, if you do indeed kill a zombie. I am also wondering if zombies could survive cold weather or would they just freeze into a zombie-sicle?
Whatever your thoughts on effective zombie elimination techniques, the Walking Dead has become one of the best hours of episodic watching you can find.
