Arlington, VA, fo-shizzle

Friend turned me on to this, DC types should like: Arlington V-A: The Rap

Well, Back Then …

Arlington, V-to-the-A, was a rough and tumble joint. I lived between Courthouse and Rosslyn, it was Wilson, South Side (near the Quarterdeck and the 7-Eleven, just west of the Iwo Jima monument … anyone?) Okay, it wasn’t ever that tough, good old Rolfe Street.

But here’s why I love YouTube and Internet video … No, this video doesn’t add too much to the social fabric, and it probably would never get played on TV or seen by many without the Internet, but it’s fun, well done, and it brings back some memories. And it’s got a million hits. Man, I ditched VA with a ton (and I mean a TON) of unpaid parking tickets … back then.

It's all about TV, any place any time, and by that, I mean time-shifting, DVRing, online, downloaded, DVD'ed, shared, slung, and digested. Don't let the 'nets tell you when and what to watch, get out there and explore! There is great stuff all around you, you just gotta find it.
