Truth Be Told

The truth about everything is out there.  Men and women from the past and present are telling us the truth through their speeches, writings and actions.  All we must do is watch with eyes that see, listen with ears that hear, and most importantly think a little deeper.

Truth be Told ties history and common sense to current events. We will visit the wisdom, knowledge and understanding of notable historians from David McCullough, Stephen Ambrose to John Fiske and Alexis de Tocqueville; economists from Adam Smith to John Keynes to Milton Friedman; philosophers like John Locke, Cicero, Montesquieu; presidents from George Washington to the present; and of course founders such as Alexander Hamilton, Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson and the whole gang.

Through the words of many wise people, we will always search for the threads that can illuminate our current societal debates and issues with truth, whether it be American style health care, public education, the free market versus socialism, the vagaries of Wall Street, U.S. foreign policy or any other issue that emerges.
