CHICAGO, August 2, 2011— Debt ceiling fallout. Trillions will be added to our national debt. Why? Not to service our debt interest and avoid default, but to keep DC bureaucrats afloat.

The President knew it and manipulated public opinion into crisis mode. The mainstream media knew it. The GOP leadership knew it.

Is there anybody the Tea Party Movement can trust?  Tea Party Nation founder Judson Phillips has a few things to say on that and America's future.

Debt ceiling traitors Boehner, Cantor on Tea Party 'hit list' by Judson Phillips, founder the Tea Party Nation.

In the wreckage of a self inflicted disaster.

Tea Party forces gather in DC.

The voting is over and the American people have lost.   John Boehner falls down and worships at the altar of big government.  The only real difference between John Boehner and Nancy Pelosi is the heels and Nancy Pelosi doesn’t cry.

This is what happens when we have leadership that believes compromise is the greatest good.

Where do we go from here?

For starters, the Republican leadership has to go.  Starting with John Boehner and Eric Cantor.  Every tea party group needs to get behind the efforts to defeat both of them in the 2012 elections.

We need to find good candidates to run against these GOP leaders.

The Tea Party put the Republicans in office to stop spending and reduce government. They are instead coconspirators in the greatest growth of government we have ever seen.

We are going to have to get ready because the economy is about to get a lot worse.  This bill does not cut spending until 2014. Translation, there will never be spending cuts.

Our debt is ballooning.  At least one credit rating agency has already downgraded America’s credit rating.  More will follow suit.

Look now at America as a superpower, for our days are numbered.  The bill requires, if the deficit reduction commission does not make significant cuts, there will be massive and illogical cuts in military spending.  America will never be able again to project power like it has in the last few years.  Within five years, if those in power continue to hold office, our military will no longer be the most sophisticated, most advanced, most powerful military in the world.

The danger for America is we are now going into the Greek scenario.  Greece has a huge problem.  It has too many entitlement classes receiving too much money from the government.  These entitlement groups refuse to accept cuts.  Every time the Greek government tries to cut spending, the voters raise up and prevent those cuts.

Greece has borrowed so much money it can no longer borrow money.  It cannot tax people any more and it cannot cut spending.

In short, they are in an economic death spiral.

In America, we are reaching the Greek scenario.  We are creating so many entitlement groups that it is becoming more difficult to cut spending.  Seniors scream at the first thought of cutting Social Security or Medicare.   Even though these programs are flying at warp speed towards insolvency, no cuts may be considered.  The Democrats exploit this fear with commercials such as the one showing Paul Ryan pushing granny off the cliff.

Government employees now make up 16% of the American population.  The average government employee makes twice with salary and benefits than a private sector employee. With most of these employees having a spouse or a significant other, that is a powerful block that certainly would not vote for any group that advocates cutting government spending.

The poverty lobby screams when there is any talk of cutting welfare.  Despite the fact welfare programs have not only been an abject failure and actually promote poverty, the poverty lobby screams every time they do not get even more money.

Monday, America lost.

Our debt will reach crushing levels.  There will be no serious spending cuts, other than cutting the defense budget.  We may well see some significant tax increases.

In an interview on Fox News Mitch McConnell said that with the Republicans that he and Boehner would appoint to the committee, there was only a “small chance of a tax increase.”  Great, only a “small chance.”  I feel so much better.  After all, our Republican leadership promised us they would cut spending, repeal Obamacare and fight against an increase in the national debt.

Glenn Beck has told people to buy gold, silver and stock up on food.   Many people have blown off his comments as being sensationalism.

I’m not.

My advice is the same as his. Stock up while you still can.
