WASHINGTON, April 25, 2013 - A 2013 report in The Lancet confirmed poultry as a source of H7N9 flu among humans but found no evidence of person-to-person transmission.
Health officials say the newest “bird flu” strain has sickened more than 100 and killed 22 in China. There is now one case of the strain in Taiwan.
Rectal swabs were taken from 20 chickens, four quails, five pigeons and 57 ducks all from six live poultry markets likely to have been visited by patients currently suffering from the flu. Two of the pigeons and four of the chickens tested positive for H7N9 but the virus was not found in any of the ducks or quails.
The researchers analyzed the genetic makeup of H7N9 found in one of the patients infected with the flu and compared it to a sample found in one of the infected chickens.
The similarities “suggest that it [the flu] is being transmitted sporadically from poultry to humans,” The Lancet said. “This is the first time that definite bird-to-human transmission has been shown for the H7N9 virus.”
Definitely, from two pigeons and four chickens.
Doctors also monitored 303 other people who were relatives or co-workers of the individual with the flu, as well as 82 healthcare workers.
“Nobody else who came into contact with the H7N9-infected patients began to show any symptoms within 14 days from the beginning of surveillance, suggesting that the virus is not currently able to transmit between human beings,” the journal said.
The World Health Organization had previously said poultry were the likely source of the virus, which has been linked to at least 22 deaths out of 108 identified cases since February.
Death by two pigeons and four chickens. No other health complications of these people? Blood sugar problems? Cancers? Myocardial infarctions?
Its the bird flu hoax all over again!
Remember 2006, 2007, and 2008? There were repeated and hyped warnings about the bird flu which was exposed as little more than a cruel hoax, designed to instill fear and line the pocketbooks of industry and various vested individuals. Look it up.
When the bird flu buzz died down we had to turn to pigs.
The 2009 swine flu hoax: After four consecutive years of bird flu warnings that just refused to happen, the H1N1 swine flu became front-page news again. This turned out to be yet another faux threat that cost tax payers billions, and in which hastily concocted vaccines were spread across the world. The 2009 H1N1 vaccine was the most reactive flu vaccine ever created, and just like its 1976 predecessor, it harmed far more people than the virus itself.
A CBS News investigation published in October 2009, clearly showed that the vast majority of “swine flu cases” were not any type of flu at all, let alone H1N1. Rather, based on lab testing, the vast majority of people who reported flu-like symptoms had some other type of cold or upper respiratory infection. The lead researcher of this Lancet study, Dr. Fatimah Dawood, works for the CDC—an agency that has a very clear interest in justifying the actions taken in response to the alleged swine flu pandemic, as well as justifying any future actions to a perceived pandemic, such as the now hyped bird flu.
What is concerning is what is going on in the laboratory.
Laboratory experiments cause rapid viral transmissions. Science reported that two labs have made the virus transmit readily among ferrets by introducing mutations or creating a “reassortant” of H5N1 and the H1N1 virus that caused the 2009 flu pandemic. Papers about the studies, stuck in limbo at Science and Nature, remain unpublished while scientists, journal editors, and public health officials weigh the benefits and risks of full disclosure. Of course, we all have a right to be skeptical about any bird flu fear mongering. We know that both the WHO and the CDC routinely hype infectious disease for the primary purpose of pushing vaccine sales.
A report published in the British Medical Journal, exposes the hidden ties that drove WHO to declare a pandemic, resulting in billions of dollars in profits for vaccine manufacturers. It reveals that top scientists who convinced the World Health Organization to declare H1N1 a global pandemic held close financial ties to the drug companies that profited from the sale of those vaccines.
“For WHO, its credibility has been badly damaged. WHO must act now to restore its credibility.” Fiona Godlee, Editor of British Medical Journal (BMJ)
The WHO has reluctantly released the complete ‘List of Members of, and Advisor to, the International Health Regulations (2005) Emergency Committee concerning Influenza Pandemic (H1N1) 2009′. It further strengthens the merits of the BMJ report. Scientists on the Committee admitted financial ties to pharmaceutical companies.
It is about time for another flu hoax. Given the short term memory problems people have and the fear dispelled by scientists who have a hand in the vaccine money bag another flu report, with a new strain appears.
