WASHINGTON, May 16, 2013 — Pheed has released their much anticipated Android app, which is now available on Google Play. The social platform has become the number one destination for creatives and teens as a new generation searches for their own voice.
It is nearly impossible to create a new, thriving social network with Facebook, Twitter and Google in the market. There is a reluctance by users to build a new following or network on other platforms when they already have one. That is what makes Pheed’s rapid growth intriguing.
Pheed’s Android app release comes in the wake of a major update to their iOS app last week, which not only restructured Pheed’s search algorithm, but also makes Pheed the world’s first company to introduce live stream pay-per-view functionality to mobile.
According to O.D. Kobo, Pheed’s CEO and Co-Founder, “Pheed is an all-in-one social media delivery system for content creators. We are a mobile-first company, and it is an exciting time for us to release our app on Android.”
“Android is going to be interesting, Google has been so awesome” Kobo continued. “It has been a long time coming, we expect to double in size over the next couple months due to the new Android market.”
