HOUSTON, May 10, 2012 - Join us tonight as we talk with Darlene Brock, a working mother who raised two beautiful daughters.
A successful author whose past experience includes serving as COO of Forefront Records, Brock also works as an artist manager, and producer of award-winning music videos.
Today, Brock and her husband Dan are the founders of The Grit and Grace Project, which is devoted to supporting women by helping them live fulfilling lives and achieve their full potential as individuals, wives, and moms.
The couple hit upon their company’s name by joining together what Brock regards as the two primary strengths innate in women: Grit and Grace.
“This book,” says Brock, “is about what I learned about the jobs you need to master, the advice from other women that helped me, as well as some realities about the life and culture we live in that informed my perspective. You can take on the most difficult job in the world – raising daughters – and not only live to tell about it, but smile along the way.”
“Help Wanted: Moms Raising Daughters,” is Brock’s debut book. In it she discusses thirteen metaphors keyed toward the diverse roles moms fill.
Each chapter is packed with insightful information and advice on how to raise children while at the same time holding down a job and maintaining a healthy marriage.
Join Jennifer Grassman as she talk to Darlene Brock about the 13 Roles a woman fills as a working mother and wife who is first and foremost a woman.
