Race Week

Nationally and Internationally

“On the Run at the 2013 ING New York City Marathon” is a behind-the-scenes look at race week with in-depth stories about runners from the front of the pack to the back. Episodes include features on charity runners, professional athletes, on-course entertainers, volunteers, and all the people who make the marathon what it is. One runner relearned to walk after surviving a traumatic brain injury. Now he is gearing up for his first marathon. Another runner, at 93-years-old, is attempting to become the oldest New York City Marathon finisher in history. Yet another uses running to help him get into shape for the world of competitive eating. Viewers will also hear from World Champions, Olympians and the professional runners who will battle it out on the streets of New York.
