2012 ING New York City Marathon TV Schedule

NEW YORK, October 29, 2012 — The ING New York City Marathon on November 4 is the largest marathon in America. For the first time in nearly 20 years, running fans all across the U.S. can watch the race live on television. Here’s where and when to tune-in:

National TV

Sunday race:

ING New York City Marathon, 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2

Sunday highlights:

New York City Marathon Highlights, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET on ABC

Local TV in New York

Saturday preview:

Countdown To The Starting Line, 7:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on WABC-TV

New York Road Runners web show “On The Run” (hosted by yours truly, along with Olympians Carrie Tollefson and Tim Hutchings) will air five episodes dedicated solely to the ING New York City Marathon.

We’re interviewing professional athletes, charity runners, and bringing you the Dash to the Finish Line 5K featuring runners like Shalane Flanagan, Kara Goucher, Lopez Lomong and other American pros.

Karla Bruning

Karla Bruning is the host of On The Run, a TV and web show from New York Road Runners. Her work has appeared in Newsweek, American Athlete Magazine, RunnersWorld.com, Active.com, The Philadelphia Inquirer, San Francisco Chronicle, Orlando Sentinel, and two dozen other outlets including ESPN2, Universal Sports and ABC in New York.
