Live boxing chat: Martinez-Murray and Garcia-Judah, Sat, 8:15 pm VIDEO

SAN DIEGO, April 27, 2013 – It’s fight day around the world. Boxing fans in every nation are getting excited about seeing some of their favorite boxers in action tonight.

In Argentina, middleweight champion Sergio Martinez (50-2-2, 28 KOs) is set to fight Britain’s Martin Murray (25-0-1, 11 KOs). It will be native son Martinez’ first fight in Argentina in 11 years, fulfilling a promise he made after beating Julio Caesar Chavez Jr. last September.

The fight will be broadcast on HBO World Championship Boxing starting at 8:30 p.m. ET. Late word from the José Amalfitani Stadium in Buenos Aires is that high winds are causing the main event to be moved up; it will be seen live first right at 8:30 p.m. So be in your seat on time!

Audiences also expected to see a heavyweight contest from California first featuring Chris Arreola and Bermane Stiverne. This fight may be shown on tape delay; we will provide updates as the schedule is known.

We then travel to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, where Philadelphia’s Danny Garcia (25-0, 16 KO) faces Zab Judah (42-7. 29 KO) in a junior welterweight contest. Showtime has the action plus undercards starting at 9 p.m. ET.

In action earlier today, former Olympic bronze medalist Deontay Wilder extended his win streak to 28-0 with an impressive first round knockout over lackluster Audley Harrison. Wilder is a heavyweight of the future and well worth watching.

American fans will also see Britain’s Amir Khan (27-3, 19 KO) against Julio Diaz (25-0-1, 11 KO) of Mexico from Sheffield, England in a fight that took place earlier in the afternoon.
