Democrats scrap global warming in favor of global war

MILLINOCKET, Maine, September 9, 2013  It must be confusing to be a junior Democrat in Congress these days. For the longest time, veteran members have told you that your major concern should be for the environment.

Now they’re asking you to focus on an impending military conflict on the other side of the world.

Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are working to persuade rank and file Democrats to follow their lead and support President Obama’s plan for U.S. military action in Syria.

This is going to put them in a delicate situation: go along with the leadership, risking a backlash at the polls next year or refuse and suffer reprisals from their superiors.

On the other side of the aisle, John McCain and Lindsey Graham fell all over themselves in a rush to join the President.  Apparently, a thousand deaths by chemical weapons is more heinous that a hundred thousand deaths by bullets and bombs.

Meanwhile, Democratic leadership is putting the “hype” back in hypocrisy.
