Senate vows to kill bill that would defund Obamacare

MILLINOCKET, Maine, September 23, 2013 — This week, Harry “Gandalf” Reid will get to wield his staff and shout “You shall not pass!” at the Balrog, better known as the bill that would defund Obamacare.

I just hope Harry remembers that as the Balrog fell into the abyss, Gandalf was seized by the demon’s fiery whip and pulled into the abyss as well.

Harry and his like-minded senators had better hope that the Affordable Care Act will be able to deliver on its promises. Otherwise, November 2014 may find Democratic senators falling into a “voter abyss” as their constituents express displeasure at having the ACA forced upon them.

Meanwhile, the President declares that raising the debt ceiling won’t mean raising the debt and Lindsey Graham is still rattling his saber, hoping to bomb something, anything.

Maybe John Kerry would let Lindsey toss a lit cherry bomb over the Syrian border. Now that would be an “incredibly small” response.
