North Korea plans to bomb Willie Nelson

When can we go back to our old parallel universe? This one is stupid. Photo: "Kim Jong-un orders a new copy of 'The Mouse that Roared' " -

MILLINOCKET, Maine, March 30, 2103 –  Pardon the mixed metaphors, but… it feels as if we have taken an off-ramp to an alternate, insane universe where we can still catch glimpses of that other, more logical universe but there is no return access.

What the hell is a Dukakis? Why are you laughing?

In this new universe you can’t rewind back to logical times, but you also can’t fast forward through the stupidity, either. So we are stuck in an endless loop of watching ridiculous and inane people and events.

A case in point: Last week, following in his father’s footsteps, mental midget Kim Jong-un made public his military plans concerning the United States. Kim Jong-un’s “US mainland strike plan” indicates that he has targeted Hawaii, Washington DC, Los Angeles and Austin, Texas.

Um, technically, Hawaii is not on the mainland, but I digress…

Strategically, I understand targeting DC, the seat of US government; even LA, where the most human casualties could occur. But, Hawaii? He must hate the fact that the US owns it’s own tropical paradise.

And, Austin? He’s obviously not a fan of home-grown American music. (Yes, I know Austin is the capital of Texas, but didn’t “Austin City Limits” put it on the map for most of us?)

That is merely one example of this preposterous universe we find ourselves in. Just read the paper,  watch tv, listen to radio or surf the ‘net. You’ll soon be asking, “When can we go back to our old parallel universe? This one is stupid.”
