MILLINOCKET, Me. February 26th, 2012 - No matter how you put the two concepts together - sexy politics, politically sexy, sexual politics, politically sexual – they just sound creepy and wrong.
Still, history is rife with people who tried to combine them, usually with disastrous results.
Maybe it’s the old Puritan influence, but most Americans don’t want to think of public policy makers as randy, ribald rascals.
Maybe we should require public servants and politicians to be neutered. For one thing it would thin out the candidates. You’d have to really … I mean, really want to be in a public sector position. You’d not only lose your privacy, but your privates!
