What is it with some people who find sports mascots’ names to be “offensive?”

How do you grow up in America not understanding the imaging and marketing of sports? Of course their names are offensive, and intimidating, and dangerous sounding. It’s a competition; the point is to try and dominate your opponent to achieve a winning score!
