Washington, February 20th , 2012- Over 1000 active duty military and veterans gathered in D.C. today for the ‘Ron Paul is the choice of the troops’ march at the Washington Monuments Sylvan Theater.
Ron Paul, the troops choice
Led by activist and Marine veteran Adam Kokesh, the rally was formulated on the underpublicized, but impressive statistic that Congressman Ron Paul has more campaign contributions from active duty military then all other candidates (including President Obama) combined. This overwhelming support is based on Paul’s constitutional non interventionist foreign policy standards, in which troops and supporters strongly feel he would uphold if he was elected into the office of Commander in Chief.
March to the White House
The rally then turned into a march in formation to the White House with the chant ‘President Paul,’ along with ‘Ron Paul for President’ and ‘Ron Paul Revolution’ banners interspersed amongst the participants.
The procession stopped in front of the White House to honor fallen soldiers, and a special prolonged salute held to honor those soldiers who have committed suicide under President Obama’s tenure as Commander in Chief- pointing out his hand in prolonging the “unjust and unnecessary wars” costing soldiers their lives in the line of duty, or by their own hand.
The march then proceeded back to the Washington Monument and was followed in the evening by a reception and entertainment.
