WASHINGTON, December 21, 2011- With the economy still in a downturn, many businesses are putting more emphasis on the holiday season in order to turn a yearly profit.
This being the case, holiday shopping days such as “Black Friday”, “Cyber Monday”, and “Small Business Saturday” have created new levels of hype obscuring the already mass commercialism of sacred holidays.
To balance the mass holiday commercialism, “Spiritually Raw” and the Spiritually Raw Foundation is announcing “White Wednesday -the giving holiday," a holiday focused on giving love, honor, service, and hope. A day desitned to place the true meaning back into the holiday season.
The date, Wednesday, December 21, was chosen as it encompasses the Winter solstice, Hanukkah, and Christmas creating a holiday that all can join in on.
The Spiritually Raw Foundation has been birthed as a platform to expand their vision of acceptance, peace, and enlightenment among all religions and races around the world. Their mission includes supporting children in need, and helping individuals and families suffering from religious persecution & natural disasters.
By supporting the Spritually Raw Foundation on White Wednesday you can bring cheer to a home, an orphan, or to an entire village. Or support your favorite charity- just make sure to contribute something somewhere.
Feed a family, donate clothes, or spend time and care for some one who is cold, lonely, and hungry. The holiday is for you to choose how to share yourself with others. The celebration is in the sharing, not the how.
The paths to sharing and caring are many, but it’s the consciousness behind it that’s the key.
