Have you ever wanted more information on how far your food travels before it gets to your table? Have you been thinking of starting an organic garden in your backyard, but are looking for some direction? Looking to meet like-minded people in your area in the sustainable foods movement?
Well, join us for an amazing evening on Sunday March, 21st 2010, 2:00 pm to 8:30 pm with guest speaker Joel Salatin of Polyface Farms,Food Inc, The Omnivores Dilemma, and now “Fresh, the Movie”. Also get a chance to meet the films director, Ana Sofia Joanes, as she will be attending and speaking at the event.
The afternoon will get started with an introduction lecture by Ana at 2:30 p.m. This will then be followed by the first viewing of “Fresh, the Movie” – a documentary that celebrates the farmers, thinkers, and business people across America who are re-inventing our food system. For more information on the movie and movement, please check out my past article on Fresh. Joel will speak after the viewing and followed by Q and A facilitated by Ana and Joel.
After the talk and the viewing of Fresh, join us for a symposium that will expand your mind and entice your palate- you’ll leave a different person. You will embark from the event full of inspiration and new ideas on where to locate nutrient dense, high quality food that is grown locally.
