LOS ANGELES, September 22, 2013 — Welcome to The Washington Times Communities NFL chat for the Indianapolis Colts at San Francisco 49ers game. Please feel free to chime in and have your voice heard. Today you will interact with Communities football analyst, Eric Golub, as well as the Communities sports editor, Kevin J. Wells.

The Colts survived a home scare against the Raiders with a late interception to hang on 21-17. Yet one week later at home they lost to Miami 24-20. Andrew Luck is solid, but the Colts have looked out of sync on offense for large stretches. Now they play a nasty San Francisco defense.

The 49ers won a shootout at home against Green Bay and then got blasted 29-3 at archrival Seattle. Yet the 49ers are back at home this week, and they will be in an angry mood, Jim Harbaugh will be challenging all of them to make Andrew Luck a human pinata.

Projection: The 49ers are favored by 11.5 points. The 49ers will win but fail to cover.
