LOS ANGELES, September 22, 2013 — Welcome to The Washington Times Communities NFL chat for the Arizona Cardinals at New Orleans Saints game. Please feel free to chime in and have your voice heard. Today you will interact with Communities football analyst, Eric Golub, as well as the Communities sports editor, Kevin J. Wells.
The Cardinals are 1-1, and are much improved under head coach Bruce Arians and quarterback Carson Palmer. Larry Fitzgerald finally has somebody who can get him the ball for the first time since Kurt Warner retired.
The Saints offense under coach Sean Payton and quarterback Drew Brees has been less impressive than in past years, but now they have a defense. An interception in the end zone on the final play salvaged a 23-17 win over Atlanta. Then a field goal at the gun let the Saints gut out a win over Tampa Bay 16-14 and get to 2-0 the hard way.
Projection: The Saints are favored by nine points. The Saints will win but fail to cover.
