LOS ANGELES, October 13, 2013 — Welcome to The Washington Times Communities NFL chat for the late games. Today the late games consist of New Orleans Saints at New England Patroits, Arizona Cardinals at San Francisco 49ers, Jacksonville Jaguars at Denver Broncos, and Tennessee Titans at Seattle Seahawks.
Please feel free to chime in and have your voice heard. Today you will interact with Communities football analyst, Eric Golub, as well as the Communities sports editor, Kevin J. Wells.
The spreads and projections are listed below the chat window.
Tennessee Titans at (-13.5) Seattle Seahawks—Seattle is an angry team at home after suffering their first loss. They still have Super Bowl aspirations, rightfully so. Yet the Titans are not tomato cans, and could make a game of it if they can slow the pace of the game down. Seahawks win but fail to cover
Jacksonville Jaguars at (-26.5) Denver Broncos—Will the Broncos cover the spread by the end of the first quarter? Will they hit triple digits and fry the scoreboard until its operator develops carpal tunnel syndrome? The Broncos really are that good and the Jaguars really are that bad, but a couple lucky breaks could make this a slightly less awful blowout than oddsmakers want. Broncos win but fail to cover
Arizona Cardinals at (-11) San Francisco 49ers—The 49ers appear to have righted the ship, while the expected improvement in the Arizona offense has not materialized. 49ers cover
New Orleans Saints at (-2.5) New England Patriots—The Patriots will be angry at home after their first loss, but the Saints are still unbeaten. Drew Brees and Tom Brady can duel on offense, but the Saints have a defense and the Patriots do not. Upset special, Saints win outright
