Major media is part of the Obama administration

“…ultimately journalism has changed … partisanship is very much a part of journalism now.” (CBS News Chief Les Moonves/ Los Angeles Times)

CHICAGO, June 18, 2012 — The day President Obama took the oath of office he became responsible for everything: the good, the bad, and the ugly. He owned it all. But he never took on the mantle of responsibility.

If President Obama did not want the responsibility and to be held accountable, he should never have taken the job. The dog ate my homework is not cutting it anymore.

How long are the supposedly ethical, objective, neutral institutional media going to let Obama get away with playing the “blame and complain” game? With his election, the economy, wars, national security, the deficit, unemployment, and everything else he blames on President Bush became Obama’s problems to solve. That’s the job he wanted, that’s the job he promised to do, that’s the job he got.

But as long as Obama blames and complains, the ever-compliant main stream media (MSM) parrot whatever he and his team hand out. From the 2008 campaign through the present, fact has become fiction, and fiction has become his-story.

It’s been over three years since Obama took office, begging the question of when will this president accept the blame, responsibility and accountability that come with the job?

When does he stop blaming and complaining?

When do the media finally start doing their job and hold him accountable? The institutional media are as out of touch with the American people as the president.

Obama and the media continually and forcefully state the President inherited a mess created by the GOP. The story line is that no one will play nice with him, and everybody is picking on him.

With all the distortion, disinformation, and dishonesty the MSM report as fact, it is hard to determine whether the media are part of the administration or the administration is part of the media.

A leader never complains about the mess he inherits. He cleans it up. When will President Obama pick up America’s mop?

Leaders work with people to establish relationships. When will Obama stop his my-way-or-the-highway approach to problem solving?

Leaders listen to criticism to determine if there is truth to be found. This president is deaf to anything but the voices in his own head.

When will the MSM criticize and hold this president accountable? When will they honestly report the truth about real problems with this presidency?

The fawning, feckless media machine rolls along, aiding, abetting, and enabling this president.

This president will not be criticized, held responsible or accountable. The irresponsible no account media accommodates his every wish and desire, not allowing the President to fail in the public eye they control.

But the truth is that the economy is no better now than it was when President Obama took office. That economy may be worsening. The employment situation is as volatile as the markets. Prices of necessary staples are higher and the personal wealth of the middle class has been wiped out.

People are suffering. Foreign policy is a mess. Domestic policy is in chaos.

And President Obama keeps blaming his predecessor George W. Bush, the intransient Republicans, Martians, Fiducians, anyone but himself.  And he can do that because this president is coated in Teflon and wrapped in Kevlar.

He is non-stick and bullet-proof. The media saw to that.

The media willingly, cheerfully, and obediently corrupted themselves to accommodate President Obama. They take whatever he or his administration says as gospel.

There is a precedence of never questioning anything President Obama does, or does not do, says or does not says. Instead of being objective reporters the media’s role has become that unctuous servile supercilious sycophants.

They are tiny dancing lap dogs with cute wagging pink tongues, prancing, panting, and yipping for their kibbles and bits - anything they can cut and paste.

When are the media going to start asking some hard serious questions about this administration? When are they going to start doing their job? Mitt Romney, is being scrutinized eight ways to Sunday by the media. He is being vetted thoroughly. He is not being given any benefit of the doubt.

Even as most of the information on Romney is being spoon fed to the media by team Obama. They just repeat whatever they are given.

Lazy corrupt access journalism is the rule not the exception. The media goes along, plays along, and sings Obama’s song. They are aiding and abetting this president’s blame-complain game.

Instead of the best version of the truth, the media spins the best version of whatever propaganda, distortion, disinformation, or dishonesty they are given.

When is the media going to wake up from their hopium* and changium somnolence and start doing their jobs? When are they going to hold President Obama accountable? Don’t hold your breath. Never is a long time.

Like World Wide Wrestling, the American media is nothing more than pure entertainment. They lost any right to legitimacy the day they joined the Obama administration.
