Toure goes wild on "The Cycle" accusing Romney of racism

Toure Neblett accuses Mitt Romney of racism.

“That really bothered me.” “You notice he said anger twice. He’s really trying to use racial coding and access some really deep stereotypes about the angry black man. This is part of the playbook against Obama, the ‘otherization,’ he’s not like us.”

“I know it’s a heavy thing, I don’t say it lightly, but this is ‘niggerization,’” “You are not one of us, you are like the scary black man who we’ve been trained to fear.” (Toure Neblett/Mediaite)

Mendacity. Today’s word is mendacity. (John Gotti)

CHICAGO, August 17, 2012 — Toure Neblett consistently provides a platform for mendacity whenever he discusses politics, especially race. Neblett fancies himself an expert on the lexicology of so-called racial code words, whatever those are.

Toure Neblett is a successful writer, entertainment and music reporter, and on the nominating committee of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He wrote one of the best sports stories in 2001 about Dale Earhnhart, Jr. He has written articles for a variety of well-known and respected publications.

Somewhere along the line he lost his sense of professionalism and ethics. He is turning into an attack journalist. Neblett is generating the same kind of content the Left accuses Breitbart of disseminating.

For some unfathomable reason MSNBC gave Neblett a co-hosting spot on The Cycle. The Cycle is MSNBC’s feeble attempt to imitate Fox News success, The Five. The Cycle’s other hosts are Steve Kornacki and S.E.Cupp. They are professional, seasoned, respected and ethical political journalists. Krystal Ball is a businesswoman, Democratic strategist, and former candidate for Congress. Neblett doesn’t belong in the same building, let alone the same studio with them.

Toure Neblett knows as much about politics as Barack Obama knows about government or governing. Neblett is a died-in-the-wool race monger and race card hustler, dealing from the bottom of a marked deck. He is unprofessional and totally unqualified to cover or analyze politics on any major television news network - cable or otherwise.

Neblett infers that Mitt Romney and the Republican Party are racists just because Romney referred to the Obama campaign as “angry and hateful.” Team Obama is angry and hateful. What else is new? They have run an angry hateful reelection campaign since Obama won the presidency.

Neblett falsely claims the GOP is a party for white people. Evidently he never studied factual history. The Democrats were the party of white people, racisim, slavery, Jim Crow, and the Ku Klux Klan, and they fought every civil rights measure in Congress until Lyndon Johnson was elected president. Johnson, a racist, saw a way to keep blacks “voting Democrat into perpetuity” (He did not say “blacks.” He used the “N” word.)

The GOP was specifically formed as the anti-slavery party, pushed for civil rights, passed the first civil rights legislation, and Republican Presidents advocated for and signed civil rights legislation.

Neblett is allowed to get away with his racist rants because firing him would be more trouble than it’s worth. He would cry racism and unleash the demigods of rhetorical racial warfare. MSNBC would be forced to apologize, pay him more money, and give him a failing show of his own as reparations.

Neblett is a disgrace. There is no other word for it. Maybe blogs like Huffington Post, Buzzfeed, or Politico would tolerate his rants. MSNBC, though thoroughly entertaining, does claim to be a real news outlet. Neblett belongs in the same category as Bill Maher, Jon Stewart, and Stephen Colbert. He is a political comedy clown.

Neblett is also an embarrassment to all the great and good black journalists who work hard everyday to make a positive impact on the profession.

Neblett is passé, an “antediluvian dodo bird” (Former Chicago Mayor Harold Washington). His style of racial rhetoric went out with the 1960s. Neblett would fit right in with the New Black Panther Party, a 1960s reenactment group.

Team Obama is running an angry, dirty, corrupt, Chicago gangster-style campaign. That is not racist. It is a fact. They will do whatever works. Their ends justify any means.

Toure Neblett does not understand that no one buys into unproven accusations of racism anymore except low information viewers and voters, the lowest common denominators.

Neblett usually cloaks his hatred and racism in purple prose, unless he is disagreed with on the air. Then his real feelings on race are expressed in plain simple angry language. A perfect example was his unprofessional attack on Piers Morgan, for which he had to apologize.

It is a good bet the only reason Neblett does not have his own show is because MSNBC knows no one will watch it. If this gig flops, Neblett can probably find work with Current T.V., the junkyard for failed so-called journalists.

Everyone is hoping the two presidential campaigns tone down the rhetorical thermostat. But the last thing we need is for pseudo-journalist celebrities to throw inflammatory race bombs.

Toure Neblett practices dirty angry guttersnipe journalism. He is worse than politicians. At least they have an excuse. They are in fierce competition with each other, trying to win an election. What Neblett is doing is beyond reason or sanity.
