A message from Peoples United for Change
Major media gives Ed Schultz a platform to sponsor hatred. We have collected thousands of signatures to get this loathsome individual off the air. Please sign our online petition so we can get 100,000 people to eradicate this hater.
Keith Olbermann is a truly evil man. He spews toxic waste and is an environmental airwave hazard. We have garnered 500,000 signatures to remove this environmental catastrophe from the air. Please sign our online petition to remove Keith Olbermann from the air.
Anderson Cooper is a progressive propagandist. We witnessed his agenda come through during the last GOP debates. We have collected 1.5 million signatures to get Cooper off the air. Please sign our on line petition now.
Please donate to Peoples United for Change so we can keep doing whatever it is we do.
CHICAGO, October 21, 2011—The above is an email you would never see. If a conservative group did send those emails out, progressives would have heart-attacks. They would go on the nuclear war path. They would whine about freedom of speech and censorship. They’d fire-up the rhetoric machine, and those campaigns would be ended toute suite.
Americans United for Change is attacking Glenn Beck for a purely technical alliance with Major League Baseball. A subsidiary of MLB, MLB Advanced Media, is allowing Mr. Beck to use their platform and infrastructure to stream his content.
Americans United for Change accuses MLB of giving Beck a platform for hate. They are going to keep “the heat on” MLB right through the World Series via an email and petition campaign, similar to the imaginary examples above. They want Beck silenced.
Progressives do not want anyone, other than their pundits, profiting from free speech. Why do you think they hate Fox News? It’s profitable, while the other news networks are just holding their own, sometimes barely.
To the progressive mindset there is only one kind of free speech: theirs. They can spew hatred and create toxic airwave disasters. Only they are allowed to hate; hatred is one of their family values. Everyone else is supposed to be taken off the air, lose their sponsors, or go bankrupt.
Political punditry is a business, a big business. It is the entertainment business. The reigning king is Rush Limbaugh. He re-created and defined the format for all others to follow. He was the pioneer in entertaining political talk radio. Follow they did, at least the conservatives. The blueprint is there for all to see and copy.
Instead of modeling success, progressives cry “foul” and play the victim. They attack. They make nasty accusations. If they can’t win, no one else will either.
Limbaugh has been in radio for most of his adult life. He knows the all the ins and outs of the business and technical sides; the tricks of the trade. Rush knows what works and what doesn’t. He knows how to entertain and sell. Rush does both very well. He makes you laugh, cry, shout, scream, rage, love and hate him. He makes you listen. That’s the whole point. Because if you are listening to him, you are also listening to whatever it is his show is hawking.
Anything that’s promoted on his show goes flying off the shelves. That is the whole raison d’etre of the business. The media business is about selling ads that sell products. It is ad driven. Profit is the motive. The day Rush, Beck, Hannity, and the rest stop generating profits for their syndicators is day they go off the air.
Progressives cannot compete. They’ve tried and failed, miserably. There is a reason Rush Limbaugh has approximately 20 million daily listeners. It’s no great secret. All they have to do is listen to the show and pay close attention. The same holds true for Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck. Pay attention and copy the template.
Glenn Beck is making money progressives think they should be making. It’s not the message, it’s the money. He must be silenced. Instead of finding a progressive Glenn Beck, the progressives want to silence him. Glenn Beck sells. They don’t. That is the real bottom line. Something progressives do not understand.
Americans United for Change and other groups like them do not care about hate speech. Progressives mastered hate speech and practice it with aplomb. They are jealous they cannot make the big bucks that Limbaugh, Hannity, and Beck do. It is always about the money.
At the end of the email Americans United for Change sent they asked for a donation. They did not forget to ask for the money.
