WASHINGTON, December 6, 2013 — The Washington D.C. police have opened an investigation into one of their own officers due to allegations he may be running a prostitution ring.

According to documents filed in federal court, a 16-year-old girl who had been listed as a missing child told police that an officer bought her sexy clothing and had arranged for her to go out on a date with an older man for $80. The girl also reported that six other girls were “working” out of the officer’s home.

The officer has yet to be named.

Officers went to the unnamed officer’s home on Wednesday as part of the investigation into the missing teen. The investigators found the 16-year-old as well as an 18-year-old female. They also found marijuana and a white container and a black bag full of condoms.

Just four days ago, Washington D.C. police officer Marc Washington was arrested on production of child pornography charges for taking nude pictures of a 15-year-old runaway.

It was reported that a mother called police to report her teenage daughter as a runaway. Washington took the report. After the girl returned home, the mother called the station again to report that her daughter had returned home and to have her taken off the missing persons list.

Twelve hours later, Washington arrived at the girl’s home and asked to speak to the girl privately in her bedroom as part of the investigation.

Washington took nude pictures of the girl, telling her that it was necessary for identification purposes. Shortly after the officer left, the girl told her mother what had happened and the mother called 911.

Police are investigating to determine if the two cases are related.
