Open recreation fields in Alexandria, VA this winter

As part of its Rock Your Park campaign, the City of Alexandria is offeing free time on its turf fields

WASHINGTON, DC, December 16 2013 — Artificial and natural turf fields that usually cost anywhere between $60-$167 per hour to rent will now be free in Alexandria, Va.

As part of the city’s “Rock Your Park” campaign, turf at Ben Brenman Park and Witter Recreational Fields will be free for community open play on Tuesdays and Thursdays through Feb. 16.

The campaign is part of Alexandria’s Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities broader campaign to get Virginian residents active this holiday season.
