Following their success at the Battle of Blackwater, we will find out what the new alliance between the Tyrells and the Lannisters means. We learned the wily young Margaery Tyrell has her eye on the Iron Throne. What is she willing to do as she takes Sansa Stark’s place to become Queen someday?
We will meet Margaery’s grandmother, Lady Olenna Tyrell, played by British acting icon Dame Diana Rigg, along with many other new characters in Season 3.
Daenerys Targaryen and her three fledgling dragons are free and are now sailing to Westeros to take back the Iron Throne she believes is rightfully hers, by any means necessary.
Fans will find out what has happened to Jon Snow now that he has been captured by the Wildlings; what happens to Jamie Lannister and the swordswoman Brienne; and whether Theon Greyjoy’s occupation of Winterfell holds.
Robb Stark returns to Riverrun with his new wife Lady Tulisa in tow. Don’t expect him to get a warm reception. This is only one of the many problems awaiting him there.
We will learn the immediate fate of Arya Stark, and discover exactly what her ally, the criminal Jaqen, gave to her at the end of the last season.
