Making Change
Are you working in the 'making change' industry?
Perhaps you mentor our youth, help those financially strapped, or clean up our rivers. Folks in the industry include volunteers, community activists and other committed people. They are making change for the public good.
This column features stories of people who have gotten involved and made a difference for others. For example, the woman who organizes the fundraiser for the school, or the retiree who serves on a civic board of directors of an anti-poverty agency, or the teenager who picks up roadside trash several times a year. Each story is intended to be inspiring and informative to spur action by others for others.
There are many areas needing change in our world. There are thousands of people who are asking themselves, "What can I do to improve the world?" Join the movement by getting involved in helping others in your community and country.
