Olympics 2012: Live Games water sports event schedules: rowing, sailing, canoe and kayak

SAN DIEGO, July 10, 2012The Summer Olympics feature water sports such as rowing, sailing, canoeing and kayaking.

In rowing, athletes can compete singly, in pairs or in groups of four or eight.

Sailing vessels include dinghies, keelboats, skiffs and windsurfers.

Kayaking and canoeing both include sprints and slaloms. In the slaloms and the kayak sprint, athletes race sitting down, but in the canoe sprint, they kneel on one leg.
