SAN DIEGO, August 12, 2012 – The theme of the London 2012 Summer Olympic Games Closing Ceremony, “A Symphony of British Music,” has fueled speculation and a wish list of performers from the last 50 years of the never-ending British Invasion about exactly who will hit the stage on Sunday night.

The good news for American viewers: no matter who performs, they will have a chance to see the Closing Ceremony live online. NBC announced today it had changed plans and will stream Sunday’s Olympic closing ceremony live online at 4 p.m. Eastern Time (1 p.m. Pacific Time) on NBCOlympics.com

The ceremony from London will still air on a tape-delayed basis on NBC in prime time at 7 p.m. Eastern and Pacific, which leaves viewers on the West Coast without online access waiting for eight hours.

For one last look, until 2016 in Rio, of the world’s youth that now wear the badge of being “faster, higher, stronger”, join Communities writers Gayle Falkenthal, Jacquie Kubin and Shirley Husar as we watch the Closing Ceremony, discuss the oohs and the aahs and enjoy the British Beat!

The first chat starts with the online Live Stream at 4 p.m. followed by the taped, delayed broadcast at 7 p.m.  All times Eastern.
