Big brother Barack is watching you

WASHINGTON June 7, 2013 – With news of PRISM, and government obtaining unfettered access to the phone and email accounts of Americans, Conservatives are finding themselves justified in screaming that Barack Obama has no regard for civil liberties or the rights of the American people.

It is time to rename Barack Obama “Big Brother” Obama.

In an amazing act of chutzpah, The Obama Regime has managed to simply erase the 4th Amendment to the Constitution.

The 4th Amendment states: The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

How did Obama breach this Amendment?

First there was the seizure, through the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act Court (or FISA) of the phone records of every Verizon phone customer. Now we are hearing about a top-secret program called PRISM.

Under the PRISM program, the National Security Agency reaches into the servers of at least 9 major Internet companies to read any email they want.

According to a PowerPoint presentation from the National Security Agency that was obtained by The Guardian, PRISM allows the NSA to go into the servers of various nations and look at materials in real time.

That same PowerPoint shows Microsoft as the first company to come onboard with PRISM in 2007. In 2008, Yahoo came on. In 2009, it was Google, followed by Facebook, Paltalk, YouTube, Skype in 2011, AOL and most recently Apple in late 2012.

PRISM is dangerous for America because it blatantly violates the protections in the 4th Amendment. Under this program, the NSA can go into the servers for these companies and look around, surveil data and do so without a warrant.

Of course, after the FISA court simply granted a warrant for the phone records of every Verizon customer, it seems the requirement of a warrant is a joke and the 4th Amendment is now on the endangered species list.

We need government agencies like the NSA to be able to contduct surveillance so that we can prevent the next 9/11. There are some leftists who do not want the government to be able to do anything to protect us against terrorists. That is idiocy.

However, our founding fathers put safeguards in our Constitution so that the nation could protect itself without becoming abusive towards the citizens of the nation.

The author of the PRISM PowerPoint presentation said the purpose of PRISM was to fix problems in a broken FISA system.

It is not the purpose of some NSA bureaucrat to decide that laws passed by Congress are not working right and they need to “fix” them.

That is the job of Congress.

Demands to maintain the integrity of the Constitution should cross party lines. We the people must demand the NSA do the job it was created to do. That job is to spy on foreign governments, entities and citizens.

It was not created to spy on American citizens.

Congress must hold hearings and the people who violated the rights of American citizens must be fired.

While the government must protect citizens against acts of terrorism, that cannot be done at the expense of the 4th Amendment and the Bill of Rights.  hat is what the Obama Regime is doing.

For them, the Constitution is nothing more than an inconvenience.

Thursday, on the floor of the House of Representatives, Congressman Louie Gohmert quoted the famed blogger Ace of Spades.  While discussing the Verizon phone record grab, Gohmert said, “We all now have Obamaphones.”

Thanks to PRISM, we all now have the Obama Internet and big brother is doing much more than just watching.

A lawyer by profession, Judson has been involved in politics since his teens. “Ronald Reagan inspired me,” he says.

Judson became involved in the Tea Party movement in February 2009 after hearing Rick Santelli’s rant on CNBC.   “I heard there was going to be a Tea Party in Chicago inspired by Santelli, but didn’t know if anyone was doing a rally in Nashville where I was based.  Finally I emailed Michelle Malkin and asked her if there was a Tea Party in Nashville.  Malkin sent an email back saying, ‘No, why don’t you organize one?’  I did.”

The first Tea Party in Nashville was held late February 2009 which drew a crowd of about 600. Judson then organized the Tax Day Tea Party in Nashville, which drew over 10,000 people into downtown.   It was at this time that Tea Party Nation was formed.  Later that year, Judson decided to bring activists from across the country together, so he organized the first National Tea Party Convention in February 2010, which featured Alaska’s former Governor and Republican Vice Presidential Nominee, Sarah Palin as it’s keynote speaker.

He currently manages the Tea Party Nation website, writes several daily columns and is working on more projects than any one person should.  He is a frequent guest on cable and broadcast news shows, including on Fox, MSNBC, CNN and others.
