Obamas vacation, first dog gets own chopper: Let them eat Obamacare!

WASHINGTON, August 12, 2013 — Barack Obama and his family are on vacation. Again.

There is no great shock in that. In an era of sequestration, the question real Americans should start asking is, why does the Obama family act like they are royalty instead of public servants?

In this year alone, the Obama’s have averaged at least a vacation a month.

They started the year in Hawaii for Christmas and stayed through the New Year. Over the President’s Day weekend, Michelle Obama and her daughters flew off to Aspen for vacation.

Then in March, the Obama children went to the Bahamas’ for spring break.

While Michelle Obama and his daughters were in Aspen, President Obama flew down to West Palm Beach, Florida, for a little down time.

Then there was the Obama’s trip to Africa, a thinly disguised vacation masquerading as a state trip.

While millions of Americans are without jobs, the Obama’s party on. Party on, Mr. President; party on, Michelle! Millions of Americans remember the time when they had jobs and they could take family vacations.

But perhaps the greatest insult to Americans came yesterday when Bo, the First Family dog was air lifted into Martha’s Vineyard on his own aircraft.

Most families who decide to take their dogs on vacation with them pack up the family car and put the dog in the car. Not the Obama’s. They have their dog flown in at taxpayer expense.

Let’s put this in perspective. Tens of thousands of federal workers are being furloughed. These average citizens are losing pay and days at work because of budget cuts. The Navy cannot repair one its nuclear submarines because of budget cuts.

Yet the Obamas can take a $100 million dollar vacation to Africa in June, and he can have his dog flown out from Washington to Martha’s Vineyard on a Marine Corps aircraft.

Our founding fathers feared a nobility class. Their fear of the political class becoming nobility was so intense that in Article One, Section Nine, Clause Eight of the Constitution, the government is specifically forbidden from giving titles of nobility.

Just because the government can’t give titles doesn’t mean the Democrats can’t use the government to treat their leaders like royalty.

Obama uses Air Force One as his own private jet. Anywhere he wants to go, he gets his own private 747 to take him. When Nancy Pelosi was Speaker of the House, an Air Force 757 was kept on call for her. When she traveled it was a veritable party plane, loaded with alcohol and luxury desserts — everything necessary for a great party at thirty five thousand feet.

Pelosi’s abuse of the plane became so bad that Air Force personnel finally complained that she was essentially demanding the aircraft be kept on standby for her just in case she wanted it.  This caused Air Force personnel to miss time off on the weekends and cost the taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The problem the Democrats have is a massive problem of arrogance. They don’t mind that hard-working Americans can’t find jobs or are furloughed as long as their leadership can be treated like royalty.

Michelle Obama has not been available for comment on this but if she were, she might well tell the little people, “just let them eat Obamacare.”

A lawyer by profession, Judson has been involved in politics since his teens. “Ronald Reagan inspired me,” he says.

Judson became involved in the Tea Party movement in February 2009 after hearing Rick Santelli’s rant on CNBC.   “I heard there was going to be a Tea Party in Chicago inspired by Santelli, but didn’t know if anyone was doing a rally in Nashville where I was based.  Finally I emailed Michelle Malkin and asked her if there was a Tea Party in Nashville.  Malkin sent an email back saying, ‘No, why don’t you organize one?’  I did.”

The first Tea Party in Nashville was held late February 2009 which drew a crowd of about 600. Judson then organized the Tax Day Tea Party in Nashville, which drew over 10,000 people into downtown.   It was at this time that Tea Party Nation was formed.  Later that year, Judson decided to bring activists from across the country together, so he organized the first National Tea Party Convention in February 2010, which featured Alaska’s former Governor and Republican Vice Presidential Nominee, Sarah Palin as it’s keynote speaker.

He currently manages the Tea Party Nation website, writes several daily columns and is working on more projects than any one person should.  He is a frequent guest on cable and broadcast news shows, including on Fox, MSNBC, CNN and others.
