WASHINGTON, October 1, 2012 - French ace Thierry Henry, a former Arsenal and Barcelona player, continues to have a stunning season in Major League Soccer with 14 goals and 12 assists.

The New York Red Bulls forward was voted Major League Soccer Player of the Week by the North American Soccer Reporters (NASR) for Week 30 of the 2012 MLS season. This is Henry’s fifth MLS Player of the Week award this season after earning it in weeks 2, 3, 5 and 28.

Henry contributed three goals and one assist in New York’s 4-1 win over Toronto FC this past Saturday. With the win, the Red Bulls (53 points) remain in second place in the Eastern Conference and within reach of clinching a 2012 MLS Cup playoff spot when they host the Chicago Fire (53 points) on Saturday.

Henry got his first assist in the game when Markus Holgersson headed home the 35-year-old’s corner. He then set up two goals for Kenny Cooper with some fine passes.
Henry finished off the game with a goal, chipping the ball over Toronto FC goalkeeper Freddy Hall.
