United midfielder Brandon Barklage suffered a torn ACL in his left leg in the game against AC Milan at RFK Stadium on Wednesday and will miss the rest of the United season. Brandon fell badly after a tackle, and at first it appeared he injured his ankle. The injury happened in the second half a few minutes after the midfielder came on the field. The second-year player competed in three MLS games for United with two starts this season. It’s another major injury blow to United (1-8) which plays Chivas USA at RFK Stadium on Saturday. United has not scored in 326 minutes. The goal drought is 49 minutes short of the club record.
We wish Brandon all the best and a speedy recovery.
