French striker Thierry Henry’s recent move to the New York Red Bulls should boost the crowds at Red Bull Arena according to a recent survey.

The study was conducted by European Fieldwork Group  among soccer fans in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania aged 16 and older, from July 15 to July 20 among 810 respondents.

What is your opinion on the overall level of play in Major League Soccer?
Excellent: 12%; Good: 46%; Average: 35%; Poor: 7%  

Do you think Thierry Henry is the most important signing in MLS history?
Yes: 54%; No: 46%

As a result of this signing, do you intend to go to NYRB games more often?
Yes: 82%; No: 18%

Over the course of the next 2-3 seasons, would you say that Thierry Henry will:Exceed expectations: 51%;Play well, but not outstandingly: 45%;Be disappointing overall: 3%

Demographics

Gender: Male: 84%; Age: 16+
Regions: CT (5%); NJ (37%); NY (46%); PA (12%)
