President Obama birth certificate is a forgery say Arpaio investigators (VIDEO)

Posse used digital forensics and interview with 95 year old former Hawaii official whose signature is on certificate to reach conclusion that the document is a forgery.

WASHINGTON, July 18, 2012 – Investigators with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office are now certain that the image of President Obama’s birth certificate released on the White House website in April 2011 is a computer forgery.

Lead investigator Michael Zullo, who alongside Sheriff Joe Arpaio conducted a multimedia press conference in Phoenix Tuesday, stated that the birth certificate is comprised of digital layers which could not be duplicated using any known computer scanning technologies.

Two independent digital forensics investigators who performed over 600 tests each, one using a PC and the other a Mac, provided investigators with identical conclusions:  The document released by the White House is comprised of digital layers created through document tampering, not through routine scanning of a paper document.

“The layers are not consistent with optimization, but are instead consistent with document tampering” Mr. Zullo said.

Numerous commercial digital forensics firms approached by the law enforcement agency declined to conduct additional tests.  “They didn’t want to touch it” Mr. Zullo disclosed.

Another key finding announced Tuesday was discrepancies between federal numeric codes hand written in several data fields and the data in those fields.  Key to that discovery was a recorded interview with Verna K. L. Lee, the 95 year old former Hawaii Department of Health official whose signature appears on the birth certificate.

The interview was conducted by journalist Jerome Corsi, who assisted the Cold Case Posse in Hawaii.

According to investigators, the penciled in number 9 in the “Race of Father” and “Kind of Business or Industry” fields indicates an empty field, yet the fields were filled out with “African” and “University”, respectively.

The Cold Case Posse also claims to have discovered that Hawaiian health department regulations dating back to 1955 allowed Hawaii residents who paid state income taxes to declare unattended births outside of the hospital system.  The sequence number stamped on President Obama’s birth certificate suggests “a reported birth from an outlying office”, according to analysis by investigators of how batches of sequence numbers were assigned.

The copy of President Obama’s birth certificate released by the White House indicates that President Obama was born at Kapi’olani Hospital.

The Cold Case Posse received an unwelcome reception at several offices in Hawaii.  When investigators attempted to meet with Hawaii State Registrar Alvin T. Onaka, local police showed up, despite having been made aware earlier that detectives from Arizona were in Honolulu on official business.  Investigators were also asked to leave Kapi’olani Hospital, according to Mr. Zullo.

“This document is fictitious” Mr. Zullo told reporters.  “It’s been represented to the people of Maricopa County.  Now I’m sorry that the President claimed ownership of it.  I’m sorry that it’s the President.  But if someone presented something fictitious to you and you acted on it and found out it was wrong and came to us, you’d want us to look at it.  It’s time for this charade to stop.”

“I would like the Congress to have hearings, maybe a special prosecutor” added Sheriff Arpaio.  “Not only for this issue but how easy it is to get a birth certificate in Hawaii.  We’re talking about national security.  We’re talking about immigration.  We are not accusing the President of any crime.  We are strictly investigating a possible government forged document.”
