NORMAN, Okla., August 28, 2011—People know that Blake Griffin can jump over a Kia, and that he is one of the most exciting players in the NBA. In his first season in the league he was Rookie of they Year, Slam Dunk Champion and an All Star.

Griffin is also unemployed.

The NBA lockout began in July. Right now, all NBA players are unemployed. They can’t have any contact with the owners or NBA personnel.

“I’m out of a job right now,” Griffin told the crowd in Norman at the Oklahoma Basketball Legends Alumni Game Saturday. That’s why Griffin has been interning at Will Ferrell’s website Funny or Die.

“I learned a lot, had a lot of fun,” Griffin said.

“I was involved in some of the writing, and the behind the scenes stuff,” Griffin said. “The videos should be out in a couple of weeks.”

This news should come as no surprise to anyone who has spent any time around Griffin or has seen one of the many commercials on television starring the NBA star. He has a good sense of humor and is genuinely funny.

His humor was on display in this video featured on this year’s Espy Awards.
