WASHINGTON, June 16, 2013 – HBO’s darkly sinister and oh so sexy True Blood takes flight on its sixth season tonight (8:45 p.m. Eastern) and humans have declared war on all things Vampire.
And a lot of that warfare will be in the buff, so we are told by Stephen Moyer (43), who is lead vamp Bill Compton and director of tonight’s premier episode. Moyer told The Hollywood Reporter, referring to his nakedness behind the camera:
“You can imagine for as long as Bill is like that, that is how I had to direct it when I was acting on set,” Moyer tells The Hollywood Reporter. “It was quite comic walking around naked, covered in red blood.”
Tonight’s episode will be filled with nakedness, blood and vampires that are a little fed up, no pun intended, with humans and their fears.
One of the big questions to be answered this season is just who is Warlow?
Season 5’s finale left fans with plenty of questions, including Warlow’s identity, and what it means now that Bill is Lillith, or Billith? Evil Vampire God or hero that will save the vampires, werewolves, fairies and other assorted supernaturals romping naked through the woods of Louisiana?
Where will Jason align? An anti-vampire crusader, he is at odds with both his sister, Sookie and ex, Jessica. Tara and Pam are becoming very close vampire friends and their combined power, and attitude, fueled by sexual anxiety, is likely to create some exciting TV.
Alcide has given up his puppy leash to become packmaster, taking down JD and claiming the Shreveport werewolf pack for his own while vampire sustenance Tru Blood is in short demand following factory bombings, leaving Vampire with nothing but from the source blood to eat.
And while we are waiting for tonight’s Season 6 premiere and chat to start, enjoy this Season 5 Final Bonus Scene:
