Travel to Prague with Jimmy Choo for Fashion Weekend

PRAGUE, September 6, 2013  — Fashionistas thinking about a taking a trip Prague should hold out no longer since next week Prague Fashion Weekend kicks off.

The event, which takes place from September 18-22 in Prague will be part of an international network of fashion events as Fashion Weeks are presented in Berlin, New York, and Madrid.  In Prague, the third annual Fashion Week, a separate event, kicked off on September 9.

Over Fashion Weekend, international fashion stars will be heading to Prague for the festivities.  Jimmy Choo, renowned shoe designer, will be a featured guest.  Viera Schottertova, one of the most sought-after Czecho-Slovak supermodels, is the ambassador of the event.  She will be joined by Spanish  model-of-the-moment Eugenia Silva.  Hot Japanese designer Hirono, who helms the design team at international brand Saphir East, will also make an appearance.

Fashion Weekend will feature a fashion tent located near Pariska Avenue, where visitors can take in the atmosphere of old Prague and visit the boutiques and events set up by local designers and brands, including LaFormela, a Czech design house that’s known for its youthful energy.

There will be a sleek fashion lounge created as a gathering point adjacent to the main catwalk tent, which includes an auditorium with seating for up to 600.

Elle Magazine is sponsoring the Fashion Photo Award at this year’s event, which is competition for young photographers aspiring to work in the fashion world.

The Prague Fashion Weekend is sponsored by Mercedes-Benz, which will be bringing awareness to IMPULSE, an endowment fund that supports projects geared toward research and the treatment of multiple sclerosis.

Thirty-five designers and brands will be in attendance at Prague’s Fashion Weekend.  There there will not only be studio presentations and shows featuring their work, but also an exhibition of fashion photography, workshops, discussion forums, and films about fashion directed by Veronica Ruppert.

Events will be held around Prague, mot notably in the mayor’s historic residence, the uber-luxe Hotel Boscolo and even the British Embassy, where cutting edge Brit fashions will be on display.
