NEW YORK, December 19, 2011 — Escape the holiday rush and the winter blues by recharging with one of these great deals at some of America’s best hotels, resorts and inns.

Cozy up in Carmel

The Carmel Valley Ranch in – where else? - Carmel, California is offering the “Holiday Hideaway” package, which includes accommodations, two 60- minute massages, daily continental breakfast for two, and nightly fireside s’mores at the Lodge. Rates start at $425, a savings of approximately 30-percent. This deal is valid until January 1, 2012.  

Sun, sports & shopping in San Diego

Through January 5, 2012, the Omni San Diego, the only hotel in the U.S. attached to a major league ballpark (the Padres’ PETCO Park), is offering the “Say No to Snow” holiday package, starting at $139/night (a 35-percent savings). This includes overnight accommodations, peppermint margaritas for two at McCormick & Schmick’s restaurant, a bottle of sunscreen upon check-in, a 10-percent discount at Macy’s, and a guide to holiday happenings in San Diego.

Santa in SoCal

The 19th annual Festival of Lights will be held at the Mission Inn Resort & Spa, January 8, 2012. There will be 3.6 million lights and 400+ figures to decorate the property, with fresh-fallen snow and live appearances from Santa and live reindeer. To celebrate, the hotel is offering its “Santa Suite” package throughout December. The intricately decorated two-bedroom Santa Suite is decked with all of the holiday trimmings: a personal tree, stockings, lights, and a collection of decorative Santas of all sizes. The package also includes a holiday dinner for a family of four at Duane’s Prime Steaks and Seafood Restaurant, a personal visit from Santa Claus with your previously arranged presents under the tree, and a family holiday breakfast. Price: $2,995 all inclusive.

Luminous holidays in Santa Fe

As the streets of Santa Fe begin to light up this month with the festive farolitos, the “little lantern” luminarias that symbolically guide visitors through the streets every holiday season, Encantado, an Auberge Resort is offering guests an opportunity to explore the unique Santa Fe holiday experience with its seasonal “Holiday in Santa Fe” package starting at $250 per night. Guests receive a luxurious casita or suite complete with wood-burning fireplace, breakfast for two, a $200 resort credit to be used towards spa treatments or onsite dining, a copy of Susan Topp Weber’s “Christmas in Santa Fe” coffee table keepsake book, and signature “Hot Fairy” warm cocktail for two in the Terra Bar. “Holiday in Santa Fe” is available for visits between now and January 31, 2012.

Hill country holiday

Everything is bigger in Texas, and that includes the seasonal 3,800 square foot outdoor ice rink at Austin’s award-winning Barton Creek Resort & Spa. Guests who book the resort’s “Hill Country Tidings” package, available for stays through January 2, 2012, can book a $99 room that includes skating passes and a $25 retail voucher to use at the resort.

Ski & spa in Vail

The Sebastian, which debuted in January 2011 as Vail’s newest boutique resort and residence club, is set at the base of Vail Mountain, ideal for skiers. The Sebastian is offering a “Ski Free Spa Free” package through April 15, 2012. With rates starting at $250 per night, the package includes lodging, lift tickets for two, two 50-minute Bloom Spa treatments, and On mountain ski valet, offering ski-in ski-out access at Vista Bahn chairlift.

Waterfront luxury in St. Michaels, Maryland

Perfectly located off the Miles River in the historic town of St. Michaels, The Inn at Perry Cabin beckons guests to "Celebrate with Savings" this holiday season until December 27. Guests who reserve two nights will receive 40 percent off the third night. Complimentary high speed Internet and a daily newspaper are also included.

Blue Ridge beauty in Charlottesville, Virginia

Keswick Hall

 

Overlooking the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains, Keswick Hall in the heart of Virginia wine country will also offer 40 percent off a third night through December 27.

Southern comfort 

Travelers looking for warmer temperatures this holiday season can opt for the "Passport to Savings" at the upscale, centrally located Charleston Place Hotel.  Receive up to $75 credit per room. Rates start at $260 per room, per night until December 27.

Ski at historic East Coast manor 

The Inn at Pocono Manor offers dog sledding, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, snowmobiling and ice skating, a spa, game room, table tennis, hiking and cross-country ski trails. The historic Inn at Pocono Manor, which opened in 1902, is a National Registry of Historic Places property. The Inn’s “Ski Camelback Package” includes an all-day lift ticket for the slopes of Camelback Mountain, the Pocono's largest ski area, just five miles from the Inn, and a breakfast buffet. Rates start at $230 per package per night, Sunday through Thursday for two adults, and $263 per package per night on Fridays and Saturdays. 

Cabin in the Pennsylvania Wilds

 Gateway Lodge is nestled among the hemlocks and pines in the Pennsylvania Wilds. Weekday in the Wilds Suite Special features a two-night stay (Sunday through Thursday) in a fireside Jacuzzi suite and breakfast each morning of your stay for $299, which represents $100 off regular rates.
