The Planned Parenthood President: Obama’s obsession with abortion

Planned Parenthood is celebrating 96 years leading the culture of death. Just how closely is our president tied to this abortion giant? WASHINGTON, October 15, 2012 ― The Manchurian Candidate is a 1959 political thriller that tells the story of the son of a prominent U.S. political family who is captured during the Korean War, brainwashed, and turned into an unsuspecting assassin for a Communist conspiracy. The ultimate goal is the quiet overthrow of the U.S. government.

Was President Obama secretly abducted as a child by Planned Parenthood and then returned to his parents with no one the wiser?

Consider his record. Back in 2003, Obama made it very clear that he supported late-term abortions—a euphemism that includes intact dilation and extraction, or “partial birth abortion.” He justified this position by saying women “know better than anybody the tragedy of a difficult pregnancy.” In fact, he touted that he voted specifically to protect partial birth abortion in Illinois.

In 2008, when Obama was running for president, a Washington Post article defended his pro-abortion record as an Illinois senator. According to a lobbyist for Illinois NOW, Susan Bramlet Lavin, the Planned Parenthood strategy in Illinois was for its politicians to vote “present” because it provided political cover, yet acted as a “no” vote. Obama twice voted present (no) on Partial Birth Abortion Ban Acts. He also voted present twice against Parental Notification of Abortion Acts, twice against laws to protect live-born children of abortions, and he even voted against a bill defining “born-alive infant” to include infants “born alive at any stage of development.”

Obama liked this strategy, and the Illinois branch of Planned Parenthood gave him a “100 percent” pro-choice voting rating for good reason.

Appoints Planned Parenthood proxy to HHS

As president, Obama needed to pick cabinet officers. For Health and Human Services—the agency that would be critical to his “healthcare” plans—he appointed Kathleen Sebelius. Sebelius is a Catholic so enamored with promoting abortion that, as Kansas governor, her own Catholic bishop banned her under canon 915 from receiving Holy Communion.

Central to Sebelius’ political career is guaranteeing Planned Parenthood’s “free pass.” The country’s first criminal prosecution of Planned Parenthood was derailed in 2005, when the Kansas health department (KDHE) under Sebelius destroyed late-term abortion reports that prosecutors planned to use in a felony “false-writing” case against the organization.

Later, after Sebelius had become HHS secretary, all 23 felony charges against Planned Parenthood were dropped. Neither Planned Parenthood nor Sebelius were prosecuted. The evidence was gone.

In 2009, Obama announced the volunteer website as a partnership offering over 250,000 service opportunities. According to Lisa Stauber, a writer for the Houston Conservative Examiner, one of the organizations promoted was Planned Parenthood. The service opportunity? “Make sure pro-life protestors don’t speak or give any information to women seeking abortions at the clinic,” Stauber said.

At the height of the budget battle in 2011, with both sides fearing a government shutdown, Obama showed just how committed he is to funding Planned Parenthood. He threatened to veto any budget—and literally shut down the Unites States government—if it had a rider such as one in the House Labor appropriations bill defunding Planned Parenthood over its abortion services. (Of course, the message put out by the administration was that it was the Republicans who were willing to shut down the government in order to defund the abortion giant.)

Threatens states’ rights

The Obama administration has discarded states’ rights like a broken toy. Writing for Fox News, Kellie Fiedorek, counsel at Americans United for Life, compiled a list that is long and getting longer. When Indiana’s legislature banned all healthcare contracts with, and grants to, any “entity” that performs abortions—a direct threat to Planned Parenthood revenues—the Obama administration threatened to pull $4.3 billion in Medicaid funding from the state.

This federal extortion on behalf of Planned Parenthood was repeated in Texas. When the Texas Health and Human Services Commission excluded abortion providers participating in the Texas Women’s Health Program, the administration withheld all $35 million in federal contributions.

When New Hampshire decided to cancel a $1.8 million contract with Planned Parenthood of Northern New England and contract directly with healthcare facilities that offer women full-service care, the administration circumvented the state government and awarded a $1 million contract directly to PPNNE. It again circumvented state governments to protect Planned Parenthood revenues in Tennessee and North Carolina.

Obamacare, schools, and Planned Parenthood

Abortion and Planned Parenthood are also at the core of Obamacare. Since Planned Parenthood commits more than one quarter of all abortions in the United States, it stands to gain $250 million or more from an abortion superfund that constitutional sleuths at Alliance Defending Freedom found inside and calculate will funnel $1 billion to the abortion industry.

And that’s without mentioning that Obama put purveyors of sex, contraception, sterilization, and abortion—like Planned Parenthood—above religious freedom. The end result: 30 different lawsuits.

Obamacare also funds $75 million a year for five years (Section 2953, Title II, Subtitle L: “Personal responsibility education”) to public schools around the country under the name of PREP (Personal Responsibility and Education Programs).

PREP is the new name for contraceptive/condom sex education, and Planned Parenthood will be one of the biggest recipients of PREP funds. Beyond that, Health and Human Services awarded $15 million over five years to a team at the University of Texas in Houston School of Public Health.

American Life League identified the school as working with Planned Parenthood as a “partner agency.” This was according to the school’s own website. It is attempting to spread “sexual health” programs in the Harris County middle schools while working with a national advertising firm to identify “sound bites” that attract the kids.

As Jim Sedlak, vice president of ALL, stated, “Planned Parenthood is in the sex business. Its goal is to get all of your children engaged in sexual activity.”  Sedlak has a point: The more kids involved in sex, the more contraceptive and STD testing customers; when things go wrong, the more abortions for Planned Parenthood. It’s not rocket science.

Parents in the Salem-Keizer schools in Oregon stood up to school officials. These officials brought in Planned Parenthood to hire and train teachers for HHS’ Teen Outreach Program. Through the program, agents tempt parents with a $30 payment if the parents sign a medical release giving an undefined “healthcare provider” permission to treat the students in the absence of the parents. Parents discovered that the teachers pushing the program were actually Planned Parenthood employees.

‘Nonprofit’ Planned Parenthood backs Obama with millions

Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood, is personally campaigning for Obama. In May, the abortion chain made a $1.4 million ad buy to endorse Obama; another $3.2 million was just announced by the abortion giant to reelect Obama.

No wonder. Planned Parenthood gets almost half of its $1 billion budget from local, state, and federal tax dollars. Now it stands to gain another $325 million or more directly from the federal government and greater access to teach sex to schoolchildren. I cannot understand Obama’s obsession with putting Planned Parenthood and abortion over religious freedom, the budget crisis, and state governments.

Abortion has had a devastating effect on the African-American community, with black abortion per capita rate three times that of whites. Obama’s campaign denies that he supports abortion-on-demand, but it can’t name one restriction he supports.

Planned Parenthood has its man in high places. Obama is the Planned-churian Candidate.
