KACER: Does Obama hate Christianity, or just Christians?

CALIFORNIA August 24, 2013 — It’s a serious matter to question another’s spiritual condition. But when the actions of the most powerful leader in the world contradict his claim of identifying with the Christian faith, it can’t go unchallenged.

Coptic Christians are being terrorized throughout Egypt. Since ousted-president Mohammed Morsi’s arrest, at least four Christians have been murdered by the Muslim Brotherhood or some other hostile group. In addition, large numbers of churches, Christian-owned businesses, and orphanages have been torched and looted.

What’s Obama’s response? While condemning widespread violent acts between Egyptian factions, Obama made a passing reference to the plight of Christians there: “including in churches.”

It was an afterthought, consistent with his pattern of disdain towards those with whom he claims to share a common faith.

Obama and his administration are more openly hostile towards the Christian faith and its expression than any other administration in American history.

Whose lives are more consistent with a love for God’s word and submission to its authority: those who cherish the gift of life from conception to natural death (Psalm 139:13-16); or a President who rejects any protection of the unborn and is willing to ration health care for the elderly?

Whose view of marriage and family is closest to that prescribed by scripture (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6): evangelical Christians who understand the blessings of God defined marriage; or Obama’s embrace of deviant forms of marriage and the promotion of social programs that actually destroy families?

What about race relations (common ancestry in Genesis 5:1-3 and equal worth in Galatians 3:27-28); freedom of conscience in business decisions (Romans 2:6-16); or the right to be armed for self defense (Exodus 22:2-3; Luke 11:21). What about the right to enjoy and responsibly share the fruit of one’s own labor (Matthew 22:39); or the need to encourage personal initiative and responsibility (1 Thessalonians 5:14-15). How about the evil of unsustainable debt (1 Timothy 6:10)? Who promotes social engineering and experimentation in public schools and the military?

Which cabinet and czar appointments, executive orders or presidential proclamations conclusively and consistently demonstrate a worldview consistent with the eternal truths clearly articulated in scripture? And what bold initiatives has Obama offered to protect and encourage the religious freedoms of Christ-honoring people in our nation, and then around the world where Christians daily suffer persecution and death at the hands of religious zealots?

On any policy issue, whose core beliefs are more closely aligned with God’s perfect word: Christians who understand God’s truths and submit to his sovereign will; or a president who gives lip service to an almighty God yet firmly believes in an all-powerful government being the sole arbiter and controller of people’s lives?

Our own personal experience validates the Biblical truth that we know more about a man from his actions than from his words (Matthew 7:16-20). If someone pays lip service to a faith that demands submission to the sovereignty of the Lord and accountability to God’s revealed word, then what purpose does that “faith” have?

An old saying is instructive here: If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck; then it’s probably a duck.

Is there any evidence to show that Obama has a deep and abiding faith in Jesus Christ and willingly submits to his Lordship? What personal testimony does Obama have that resonates with Christ’s claim that no one can come to the Father except through him (John 14:6)? What appreciation does Obama have for the Christian legacy that instructed and undergirded our nation’s creation and provided the moral foundation for a just society otherwise unknown in history?

In private lives, as well as politics, piecemeal convictions based solely on one’s own terms become little more than a convenient tool to publically tickle the ears of the gullible (2 Timothy 4:1-4). It’s painfully obvious that Obama’s claim of an affinity for the Christian faith is no more than a selective designer faith that conforms to his personal, bankrupt worldview. In this he is just like the Athenian elite to whom the apostle Paul spoke harsh truth (Acts 17:16-21).

The rotting fruit of Obama’s ideology and domestic policies continue to weaken us as a nation, and embolden our enemies around the world.

The only hope for our country is the godly salt and light influence the Lord has blessed us with for centuries (Matthew 5:13-16). But unfortunately, Obama’s affinity for everything except sincere Christian faith continues to result in suppression of Christian influence in anything he has control over.

As spiritual and moral darkness continue to grow, anyone willing to look at the evidence can easily see who’s helping it along.
